Chapter 4

"Alright. Let's do this." The yellow, octopus creature said, as he cracked his knuckles. In the blink of an eye all of the match ups were up on the black board. "Huh?" Edward looked around; the whole class was as confused as he was. "I specialize in speed magic," The octopus explained. "I can go up to mach twenty speed with complete control." After a series of "Woahs" from the class, a student put up their hand. The octopus nodded at them, allowing him to speak. "Um, sir, what's your name?" They asked. "A name?" The octopus said. "I don't suppose I have one. Does anyone have any ideas?" A student with green hair shot her hand up. "How about 'KoroSensei'!"
"Hmm, Korosensei, I like it!" The teacher declared. "Uhh, what does it mean?" He added. "It's a mix of the Japanese words for "Teacher" and "Unkillable"" The student said "Ah, I see we have an otaku in the class." Korosensei teased before getting back on track "Now, everyone, I managed to book the quiditch pitch for this period, so we can have multiple duels at once, so please take note of your opponent, head down to the pitch, and meet me there." And with that, he zoomed out of the classroom, scattering the papers he had on his desk all over the room. The class stood up and started to head down to the pitch. When they arrived Korosensei was waiting next to a tall man in what looks to be his late 20s with short black hair wearing a blue uniform. "This man," Korosensei put a slimy hand the man's shoulder "is Roy Mustang. He works as the head of magical defense department in the ministry of magic. I've invited him here today to give you all some first hand experience in dueling. Go ahead Roy." "Ah, erm, yes, let's begin." Roy mumbled as he brushed the slime from Korosensei's hand off of his shoulder. "Now, I would give you all a lecture on the art and techniques of dueling, but you all probably want to get on to the duels themselves." The class responded with an assortment of cheers, clapping, and "Hell yea!"s. Roy cleared his throat loudly to get everyone's attention. "Now, to give you all an example, I'll be dueling someone, any volunteers?" Everyone in the class's hand shot up. Roy stroked his chin "Hmm... How about... You." He pointed to a short blonde haired boy; Edward. "Alright," Ed walked up to Roy "With all that talk it'll be embarrassing when I beat you." "Ohh. Looks like we have a feisty one here." Roy chuckled at Ed before leading him about 10 meters away from the rest of the class. "3.. 2.. 1.. Fight!" Korosensei yelled. Edward cracked his knuckles and dropped onto one knee. He placed his hands onto the ground and Massive pillars of hardened dirt shot towards Roy. There was a series of "Woah"s from the rest of the class. Roy skillfully slipped out of the way. Ed furrowed his eyes brows and grunted before trying again. More pillars shot from the ground at Roy's direction. Roy repeated his previous move and slipped out of the way, "Woah, looks like we have a transfiguration expert over here." He Teased while waiting for Ed's next move. Ed grunted, more audibly this time, and stood up before pulling a spear like weapon from the dirt and running towards Roy. As soon as he reached his foe, Ed slashed at Roy with his spear. Roy effortlessly countered by ducking down to avoid Ed's attack, and kicking him in the knee caps, forcing him to fall flat on his back. Roy swifty stood up. "Well," Roy began "I think we can take this duel to a clos-" "Not yet asshole!" Ed yelled, while kicking Roy in the stomach. Before Roy could realize what was going on, Ed stood up and gave him another blow to the face. For a split second while Roy was falling over backwards, Ed could see pure rage in his eyes. Ed had no idea why, but that look in Roy's eyes pissed him off. Before Roy could land, Ed gave him a second kick to the stomach as hard as he could. That's when Roy snapped. He snapped his fingers. For a split second nothing happened, before a massive burst of flames leapt from Roy's fingers. Ed's eyes widened in terror. As he felt the first few embers lick his shin, all of the air in his lungs was forced out as he felt himself being pushed out of the way of the flames at an unfathomable speed. In the blink of an eye he found himself standing next to the other students. He immediately collapsed and began to breathe as heavily as he could to replace the lost air in his lungs. After a few breaths he looked up to see Korosensei standing in front of Roy. Something was off. The bright yellow color that he usually repped was instead replaced with a deep, deep black. "Mustang." His voice was calm but there was a very threatening undertone to it, like he was holding back extreme anger. "Do you have any idea what you've done?" "Well, I-I-" Roy stuttered, trying to put on a calm facade "If I wasn't here to push Elric out of the way, you could have killed him!" Korosensei began to raise his voice. "I-I humbly apolagi-" Roy said, completely ditching the calm facade and showing an expression of pure terror. The rest of the students just watched, completely silent with wide eyes. "This is your first and final warning! One more stunt like that and you are banned from ever teaching this class again!" "Y-yes sir!" Roy stuttered. "Good. I'm glad you understand." And with that, Korosensei's body turned back into it's usual bright yellow. He then sped over to Edward, who was still staring in shock at Roy, who was trembling so hard he was barely able to stand. Korosensei pulled a small piece of paper and scribbled something down on it before handing it to Edward "Here," he said "Go to the nurses office and show her this" He gestured to the piece of paper "She'll fix your leg up right away." "Um. Right." Edward was still in too much shock to tell him that he wasn't burn't that badly.
