I see you
Coming around the corner
You freeze
Staring at me a second to long
My heart starts going
It gets faster
You turn
You head in the opposite direction
You are going as fast as you can
I don't run
I don't move
I don't even breath
You look at me
As if I was a monster
As if I was a ghost
Coming back from the dead
You keep running
I give a silent scream of help
Please just stop leaving me
I need you
You agree we are friends
But you keep running
Please
Stop leaving me
In the darkness
Bring me back to the light
I'm scared
Darkness is everwhere without you
It's getting darker
The farther you run away
I want you to turn arond
Run back
Give me the light again
The darkness is getting thicker
Swallowing me
Drowing me
Sufficating me
It scares me here
Here in the pit of darkness
You are my light
You pull me from the darkness of saddness
You won't save me though
And revive me with happiness
Because you don't run back
And be my light again
You don't turn around
You just run farther away
I fear it is to late
I'm stuck in the darkness
From a place
I can't be freed
Because I have lost my one and only
Nightlight
