Geoff kept on refreshing his email in hopes that he would get one saying that they found Bridgette.

"Geoff," Dr. Lynch started, "please put your phone down and look at me."

"I can't, man. What if they find her and I miss it." Geoff's hair was dirty and knotted. He had some breakouts around his temples where he kept resting his head in his hands.

"Geoff it's been almost a year since she went missing."

"I'm not gonna stop looking for her now. They haven't search the whole island yet and they haven't even touched the ocean." Geoff continued refreshing until his phone dinged, signaling that he had used up the last of his data for that month.

"You look thinner since the last time I saw you. Have you been eating?"

Geoff shook his head no.

Dr. Lynch pinched the sides of his nose, contemplating how he would go through with this case. He hated being personal with his clients but he felt like this was the only way to go through with it.

"You know, Geoff. I lost my wife to a drunk driver three years ago."

"How did you go on man?"

"I didn't at first. All I wanted to do then was sit and watch tv because it distracted me even a little from having to plan her funeral. I didn't eat for four days. My kids stayed with me and tried to get me to eat, but I couldn't bare to."

"How did you get past it?" This was the first time in a long time that Geoff was distracted from trying to find his wife; his soulmate.

"I hear the song "Thousand Years" play on the radio one evening. It was Molly's favorite. I can still hear her sing it sometimes. We would dance to it in the living room sometimes. Remembering that was he first time I felt happy in a long time. I realized that I shouldn't have been thinking of what I could have done to protect her from that drunk driver. I should have been thinking of all the happy times we had together. That was the first time I had eaten a full meal in a week."

"Huh," Geoff said. "I think I get it now."
