Sorry

I woke up earlier than I usually do. I did my morning routine and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Morning, mom, dad." I happily said

"You're looking cheerful today, what's up?" Dad asked.

"Oh, it's nothing dad." I replied.

"Soujin-ah, were you expecting someone this morning?" Mom asked.

"No? Why mom?"

"Our neighbor, I can't remember his name, gave this to me and asked to give this to you" She said while holding out a white envelope with my name terribly written.

"Oh my- This can't be from him."

"From who dear?" Eomma asked

"Kim Taehyung, mom."

"Oh! He's pretty hot for my daughter, go get him!" Mom sang cheerfully.

"Mom!"

"Haha, i'm kidding. But seriously if he ever does-"

"Right mom. I know. Let's eat now, i'm starving." I said.

Dad has been silent the whole time. I wonder what he's thinking about.

I finished my food and went back upstairs to get my stuff.

Then I remembered, the envelope.

I took it from my dresser and opened it. There was a sticky note inside. It said, Meet me at the back of the school, at the entrance of the garden.

What?

Instead of throwing it away, i put in inside my drawer. I went down and bid my parents goodbye, then left.

Today was going to be weird.

I arrived to school early.

I went to where Taehyung told me to go. Surprisingly, he was already there. I fixed myself up and went to him.

"S-Soujin!" He said startled. This was the first time he was jumpy and kind of nervous. He would usually tease me.

"What do you want, Kim Taehyung?"

"Soujin, first of all, I want to apologize for those nasty pranks and stuff."

Taehyung? Apologize?

"Second, I also apologize for calling you rude names and what not."

Okay, what in the world is happening?

"Third," He hesitated to tell me.

"I uh.. " It was pretty funny to see him struggling, but I kept a straight face.

Ringgg!

The bell rang.

"Well, that was the bell. I'll see you in class." And he ran off.

What is up with this boy today?

I shook my head and went to class.

Class was as boring as ever.

It was almost over, and I couldn't help but stare at Taehyung the whole time. He sits 3 tables to my right. He kept his head down the whole period.

The bell rang and everyone left, except me and Taehyung.

He was still staring at his table. I went over to him and broke the silence.

"Taehyung-ah, why are you acting so weird?"

He said nothing. Instead, he stood up, gently grabbed my wrist and simply said, "Follow."

He ran grabbing my hand. It was hard to catch up to him, but I managed to. We went out of the school, he looked around to check if there was anyone around us. Then proceeded to run inside the garden.

"This, is my hiding place. I usually stay here whenever I don't feel like schooling."

I was shocked. It was in the last corner of the small maze in the garden, there were papers with doodles scattered all over. I saw portraits on the papers, I was surprised to see some that looked like me.

He let go of my hand and sat down. He motioned me to sit down beside him. He got one of the papers, and said, "I drew this, it's a portrait of you."

Then again, I was shocked.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because, Soujin, I-" He paused and was fiddling with his messed up tie.

"I like you. A lot."

I gasped.

"I know, it's weird, we fight everyday. But, I might as well tell you before the semester ends. You probably don't like me. You can also keep the portrait if you want. I j-"

I put a finger on his mouth, and he turned to look at me, shocked.

"Kim Taehyung, you're so cheesy."

"I'm sorry, I-"

"Let me finish, I just wanted to say,"

He looked at me with a questioning look.

"I like you, too." I smiled.

His eyes widened, and leaned in. That's when I realized our lips were touching.

He kissed me? Kim Taehyung kissed me?

He pulled away, to look at me.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

This was all happening so fast. Too fast.

"Yes, I will be your girlfriend."

He smiled widely, ear to ear, and attacked me with kisses.

"Thank you!"
