On 24th of September, year 2012...
Rio shook his head. "There's only days left until the actual selection audition. We can't afford to lose applicants."
"Don't worry. I won't fail this time. I have enough offers to give." That's right. The excruciating life of a manager is to impress the boss. Eyes on the price. Never look back.
Saki picked up all her collected application forms placed on the coffee table as they proceeded inside the air-conditioned conference room. There, the chief executive officer was sitting at the center while 24 managers of the company were held with a protocol. "Manager Rio and Manager Saki, you're 10 minutes late."
"We're sorry Mr. Gwon. We'll be punctual next time." Saki replied. As usual, CEO Gwon Xiun You is the ill-tempered type during meetings. Rio started wondering what type of coffee he drinks to be such an airhead. Guess, it was a different matter for Saki. She sat down feeling the pressure of the upcoming discussion which will be done in the four corners of the room.
"Well, now that everyone's here, we could at least start the selection of applicants. I do hope that everybody takes this seriously. The last time we had a talent search, many applicants submitted but never showed up because of bluff informations they've written. If that ever happens again, each one of you is responsible. Are we clear?"
"Yes Mr. Gwon." Everyone said in chorus.
"Then, anyone wouldn't mind if I go first right?" Manager Minhyo stood up with much confidence. He's always been the favorite of the company, for he always finds an exception on clique. They consider him as the ace in scouting potential members around the globe. His idols are always at the top of the company, constantly winning awards in Seoul and wrecking the weekly chart in Korea. Rio wondered how can he be so good at handling idols.
However, Saki swore to herself that she won't get fooled ever again. XY Entertainment is a large talent agency in Seoul. Large enough to sell their souls for money. Such teamwork doesn't exist in this world. Not even in the four corners of the conference room.
Minhyo placed three pictures of applicants on the pinboard, all stunning and beautiful. "These 3 aspirants are the ones who have most potential. Though, I personally think that this applicant is much better with her looks. She would definitely be captivating with both male and female audiences."
He grabbed a red marker and encircled the girl's name. "Park Hyeri Bye."
Everyone was astonished by the girl's visual. She is aesthetically beautiful even without a makeup. Her perfect round eyes, symmetric face and pointed nose is totally captivating.
"She looks like a human doll." A co-manager commended.
"Isn't she? Not to mention, she has a kind of sex appeal. She deserves the spotlight, Mr. Gwon." Xiun You held his chin while his elbows were pinned on the table, thinking. Rio directed his eyes to his facial expressions. She can tell that he's already gone, dumbfounded.
Saki knew that at this point, they don't have what it takes to beat Minhyo's advancement. As expected from the CEO's favorite. Nevertheless, she wanted to try opposing this boss-leveled enemy for once. Afterall, she had the most treasurable potential trainee that she herself founded.
