Seoul never dies.
A city of dreams. Its heart is no other than people. Its pulse is no other than the industry. Vigorously turns heads, eyes witnessing some kind of magnificence; the center of attraction.
For if Seoul was to be a teenage high school girl, oh how envious people could be? Just like any other perfect ideal type of young boys, she's a man's hopes and dreams. Smart? Pretty? Socialite? Someone loved. Someone looked up to while people are constantly dreamy as she walks pass by through the corridors.
People love to be here. From a country afar yells eager young ladies who wish they were born here instead. Beautiful skyscrappers everywhere and beautiful sunset views.
Beautiful people.
Also known as the place of Idols. A hall of fame, where talents are made known. Talking about the main course, and the audience? Youth.
They wanted to speak about youth for a long time now. Youth is diverse, and so is their music. Yes, seven boys who're awaited.
The most anticipated.
Today is the midway of spring, 2018. Bangtan was having another tremendous dance practice before the official comeback. Everyone in the Bighit agency are at constant work, building up another music video which is a masterpiece. Guess everyone's totally fired up this time around. "Are you guys tired?" one of the assistants asked the members worriedly.
"No way, the release is only two weeks left. We can't afford to take a rest." Jung Hoseok, one of the hyungs exclaimed as everyone was having a water break at the corner of the dance studio. All the members affirmed, especially Park Jimin who's always been so ready with performances. "I can actually feel the hype, knowing that Manager Sejin allowed me to stay here in the dance studio for a few more hours to practice my solo part." he exclaimed.
"A few... you mean plenty?" the maknae Jeon Jungkook smirked as Kim Seok Jin's side comment was heard. "Aw come on, Jin-Hyung don't do that to me."
"Guess who's back in town." Their heads turned when a man with a black jacket arrived decently inside the studio. Manager Hobeom, the ever supportive one.
"V-ssi's trailer is probably done by now. The Billboard Music Awards is anticipating each one of you, and so is the international Army." Manager Sejin added as he approached them at first glance. Apparently, they're comeback will be held in Los Angeles as requested. "So, hows the practice going?"
"Really exhausting, but we can pull this off." The great leader, Kim Namjoon replied at ease. As usual, Bangtan is the hardworking type. "Not to worry, we got you." Hobeom tapped their shoulders motivating each one of them. In this small yet big time company, everyone is a priority. That's what their CEO told them. Each staff has a major role to do. No wonder why they improved so much in their visuals. It's because of the hard work and collaboration that they were able to come up with an aesthetic outcome in music videos.
"Alright time to resume guys, we have 50 minutes left before I leave." The choreographer yelled clapping his hands for attention from the members.
"Hold on. Jimin-hyung." Jungkook held his shirt as he was about to go. It's a habit he got everytime he seems unprepared for himself. "What's the matter? Do you still need to rest?" the younger one gripped his shirt from his own chest closing his eyes for a few seconds.
He smiled back to his hyung after he felt better. "Nah, i'm good. Let's go now." The moment he stood up, Jimin already noticed how much he was totally fired up. "IU-senpai please notice me!" The maknae Jungkook yelled, energizing himself by emerging his fanboy side. Everybody reacted the same way cheering for the youngest member.
And so, the practice was resumed with much energy and enthusiasm.
All these were considered a wonderful creation of the one and only Bang Si Hyuk, aka Bang PD; the CEO of big-hit, one of the most versatile talent agencies in South Korea. Right now, he's at the table desk, waiting for manager Sejin's arrival in the office.
Lately, there was a wild competition between agencies for the next throne of international fame. Kpop groups are now starting worldwide tours to reach various audiences like what BTS used to do. Bang PD have already thought of this before, for he saw the major impact of BTS's tours in the general Kpop industry. His successful boy group became a wild bridge for fans to discover more about korean song choices and somehow stan other groups which were never discovered. This is the reason why some other agencies respect Bighit. If it wasn't for them, there wouldn't be a wider range of audiences.
Well, Bang PD felt fullfiled at this point. Because no matter how many groups become famous at every parts of the globe, no one will ever forget Bangtan as the first ever kpop group whom had the American Music Awards. Do include the Billboard too.
All these were reflected by him until a knock was suddenly heard. He went back to reality and stress made up his mind. Clearing his throat and fixing his posture, he prepared himself. "Come in." Manager Sejin has arrived.
Sejin is the head manager of Bangtan. The man with glasses that's always shown on television every-time the members are being captured at some events. He loves his boys. He's that proud father every time the group wins enormous awards. His 4 years of working under big hit was dedicated to BTS and BTS alone.
Apparently, that's gonna change.
"Have you been training her satisfactorily?" The CEO asked tapping his pen on the table desk.
"I don't even know if it's called a training but, she always goes her way. Although I must say that she's undeniably gifted. We just go on with flow. Afterall, it's her own league she's about to build."
That's right. A new member of the agency is about to come. It was such a pressure for both of them. It's not the first time they handled female idols. They already had a girl group before. However, they're definitely new to handling soloists. Besides, Bang PD already swore to himself that he will focus his attention to male ones and then all of a sudden, this unknown female came?
But she's not just a soloist. There's more than what meets the eye.
"The schedule should be midnight, wherein everyone has already left the agency. I'll be giving you this duplicate key of the recording studio. Sejin, have you talked to the securities?"
"All the security guards are already informed about the special recording session we'll be working on. I also made sure that there would be no CCTV footage around the building during that hour for her privacy."
Yup. It is what it sounds. This new member is planning to anonymously produce songs. Such concept has never existed in the Kpop industry. Enervating yet intriguing.
"Are you sure not revealing her identity would work out? For all I know fans will be eager to see some visuals." He already taught about it before. Afterall, visuals is a special herb and spice in every music videos. "Well, that's my promise so we better keep it. Besides she already told me that she's responsible for any downfall that might happen."
They both took time to think as a long silence came. Sejin fixed his glasses and stood up with a confident posture. "I'll do my best for this project, Bang PD nim. You can count on me."
He dissmissed the office and sighed heavily. How did everything ended up really bothersome? He knows it's not proper to say that it's that woman's fault that their schedule became so hectic. But as a head manager, his job is to work things out no matter how hard it may be.
He took out his phone from his pocket and contacted an anonymous number. It started ringing, and it was answered immediately by a female voice, "Hello?"
"Mei, you can come here and record the first song at 2am on tuesday. Manager Hyunsoo and I will be with you throughout."
"Great. A lot of thanks, manager. See ya!" And the phone instantly dropped. He rubbed his temples while closing his eyes. It's not the first time he made effort for his idols. But this time, he needs to be more careful, for he just found a gifted being that is far different.
