Fishing Hamlet Slaughter

Maria's POV

As Zeke was leading the charge I started telling my hunters to help Zeke's squad instead and luckily they did follow my orders without any questions so we started to round up as many fish people into one building before getting some Powder keg hunters to set them on fire, we did this for another 5 buildings before most of them started to run to the centre of town but was stopped by Zeke and his hunter by them cutting into the fishy flesh and all I could think about is why did we have to do this.

During the time I could have sworn that some of the hunters looked like they enjoyed doing this and sadly it looked like Zeke was having the time of his life as well but tried to hide it from me but even so it's like he's been trying to take the lead on this entire mission but for what the thrill of the kill or just the bloodshed in general.

After some time I had to get my blade dirtied because Ludwig and Laurance started watching me so I had to kill some of the village people even tho it made me feel sick "ok let's round up the rest and get them into the main town for questioning" Laurance said running off into town but the only thing I could think of is the faces of the dead. The thing is Zeke was crowned a hunter of hunters unlike me he can kill and have mercy, I guess that's why I feel protected with him and the text that I love him to hehe but what will this toll on both our minds "hey Maria come on sweet cheeks" Gehrman shouted causing me to come out of my day dream "God I hate him so much" I said under my breath

When I made it I noticed that there was only 5 fishermen alive and 10 differently killed bodies ranging from behind cut in half to behind beheaded but when I looked around I noticed everyone but Zeke "hey where did Zeke run off to " I asked looking around which also made others look around "I don't know Maria take 3 hunters with you and try to find him" Ludwig said and I randomly chose 3 hunters to come with me". We searched back through every house that wasn't still burning and looked for anyone that was still alive but as always no luck until we made it to the cliff edge where we saw Zeke with a villager "fine I except your deal but in return you will let my friend be pardoned from you course" Zeke said in the moonlight and the fisherman just nodded "fine get out of" Zeke stopped mid sentence as a gunshot rang out in the night and the fisherman body fell to the floor "no god damn it" Zeke shouted as the hunters started t charge at him. But Zeke only responded by grabbing his scythe and cutting into one of the hunters stomach smashing guts onto the other to making them stop "you have no idea what you have done" Zeke shouted looking at the last two hunter and finally noticed me "Maria.?"

Zeke's POV

"Maria" was all I said as I looked at her and I had a million questions raising through my head, why was she here, how much did she hear, what would she say to the others "you two can run and survive but you can't say a word" I offered them but they only raised their weapons but as they did one got Maria's Dagger in their throat and the other.

Received my scythe into the side of their head splitting in from the rest of their head "Zeke what the hell was going on" Maria shouted at me "we need to go now" I shouted back at her but she didn't budge "Maria please we need to go now please" I begged which got her to start moving again "why did you just disappear like that" Maria asked me and of course I couldn't tell her why it would make her do things she might regret "I found that villager and I was going to let him go but the others got in the way before I could let him make it to the boat" I replied back but she still looked upset "why did you kill them they wouldn't have told on you to anyone, they trusted you Zeke" Maria cried back at me which made me stop running "I'm sorry I lost it because of what we all did I wanted at least one of them to live but. I guess I was meant to be wrong" I said back looking up at her with as big of a smile as I could make "could you make a promise" I said trying to take her hand but she pulled it away "please don't touch me" she said looking down "I guess not then huh" I said looking down "we need to head back I know where we need to go" I said back starting to head of in the direction of town.

I eventual heard Maria's footsteps behind me "I think you for your help Maria" I said turning around but was greeted by her dagger to my throat "that is Lady Maria to you" she said retracting her dagger and took the lead back "I'm sorry Lady Maria I really am but what can I do to make it up to you" I asked her gently but she just looked more hurt "I had to kill one of my fellow hunters and still had to give the order to murder men, women and children while you was no where to be found but you gave me your word that I wouldn't have to draw blood and you previously gave me your word that I would not have to kill my friends" she said turning around again and this time running if into town "it's probably best this way" I said under my breath and I followed her back to town.

When I arrived I wasn't greeted by open arms but was tackled by Gehrman and Ludwig while Laurance stood over me "so I was told that you know where the Great one was found but you killed 3 of our fellow hunters, WHY" Laurance asked kneeling to my height on the floor "it's on the beach through the cliff and they attacked me first" I said back which resulted me getting picked up on my knees and received a kick to my gut "please Maria told Gehrman everything before heading back to the docks" Ludwig shouted at me from my right side so I just stared at Gehrman and me smiled at me before leaning down over to my left ear "I knew about your relationship hehe traitor and the best thing is she told me that you killed them not me" that was the most painful thing I have heard in my life knowing that the person I love would sell me out like that well it feels worse than any infection or disease I could ever have "so what are ya going to do with me then" I said trying to Stand up but was forced back down "why your going to be coming with us" Laurance said while Gehrman took my scythe and Ludwig took my pistol and knifes "I think I might keep this" Gehrman said while inspecting my scythe.

After what seemed like hours we all finally found the great one and sadly even Maria came with them to see the great one "is it dead" a hunter said from behind "should we cut it open" another said but Laurance stopped them all by putting his hand up signalling them all to shut up "Maria you have the longest and slimmest weapon to cut through skin would you do the honour" Laurance said rubbing in the fact that he could say her name without a problem or outburst from her "fine" she said walking past me without even batting an eye "I guess i failed ya huh" I said under my breath as Gehrman laughed at me then looked back at Maria.

When she finally plunged her blade into the body of the great one that was named Koz she sealed her fate to the curse that was laid apon us while everyone else was laughing and celebrating for completing their mission "Laurance, Ludwig, Gehrman you three better take a look at this" Maria shouted looking quite upset "hold him and don't be afraid to hurt hm a lot he did kill some of your friends" Gehrman said while turning me around and throwing me into what was left of all the hunters we brung along "your in for a world of pain" I heard one shout before feeling a intense pain in my left lung knowing that I just got hit or slightly stabbed and that was where the pain started for me. 6 hours of beating and forced healing from then to keep me alive while they punch, kicked or used the 'soft' bits on their trick weapons on me for they where told to take me to the docks and that's when I finally blacked out from finally having a moment of peace

A/N: hello and this is the longest chapter i think but oh well its fine anyway hope you all enjoy the story going to be posting the next soon i hope but that's it and keep hunting hunters :)
