~Jack’s P.O.V~
There are a lot of perks when it comes to Belle sleeping over. One of them is her cooking. I could practically taste the breakfast she was making all the way from my bedroom and I had to go see what it was.
I reached the little doorway into the kitchen and leaned on it as I watched Belle carefully add spices to whatever the hell she was making.
“Smells good” I said as she jumped and spun around immediately.
“Jack, oh my God!” she shouted, “you scared the hell out of me you idiot!”
“I’m sorry” I put my hands up in defense and began laughing my ass off. She gave me a threatening stare and the next thing I knew, the wooden spoon she was holding came flying in my direction.
“Shit!” I yelled as I ducked down. She missed. I grabbed the spoon and washed it for Belle to use again and sat on the kitchen counter waiting.
--
When Belle and I sat at the table to eat, we just made small talk. She asked where my mom was and I told her that she was on another business trip for the next month and a half or so and we also made the decision that Belle was going to stay here until my mom gets back. I don’t want her back in that house again. Who knows what will happen.
Just as I was almost finished with my plate, Belle asked something that was quite surprising.
“Hey uhh, do you wanna go to that party at the beach tonight?” she said looking down at her plate.
“You want to go to a party? What the fuck, since when?”
“I thought it’d be fun” she answered more like a question.
“Yeah I mean the parties are awesome but I thought you don’t like to be around the kinds of people that’ll be there.”
“I know but maybe that’ll change. I want to give it another try. The last time I went to a beach party was over a year ago, maybe I’ll like it now.”
“Well shit, okay then. Let’s go to the party tonight.”
Well I wasn’t expecting that at all.

~Belle’s POV~
Jack was pretty surprised about me wanting to go to the party tonight but I meant what I said. I don’t want to have a boring life and just sit around reading books all day like I’ve been doing for God knows how long now. I want to live and make the best out of every second I have. I want to have no regrets. Too much of my life has already been full of fear, anger, worry, and pain. I’m not going to let that continue.
The only thing that has to continue right now is applying the rest of my makeup. It was 5:30 and I had already showered and straightened my hair for later. Jack and I went to my house a few hours ago when my dad left and we grabbed pretty much everything out of my room and brought it to his house. I used some extra bedroom he had as my closet and now that’s where all of my stuff is.
After I applied a very light layer of bronzer on my face, some mascara, and some thin black eyeliner, I walked over to my new “closet” and rummaged through the giant bags filled with my clothes. I decided not to go with something too crazy.
My white jean shorts with a loose white tank top and a red and black flannel wrapped around my hips seemed to do the trick. I wanted to wear my white converse but I was going to be on the sand so I grabbed some plain white flip flops instead. I’ll probably toss them in the car before we get out anyways.
-----
When Jack and I were both ready around 7:30, we got in his car and drove to the beach. It was already pretty packed but surprisingly, I wasn’t nervous at all.
This. Looked. Awesome. All I could see were people around mine and Jack’s age bouncing up and down to How You Love Me by 3LAU while holding their red solo cups in the air. None of them seemed drunk but that would definitely change by the end of the night.
I was so excited and caught up in all of the beautiful lights flashing around everywhere. I grabbed Jack by the wrist and pulled him to the dancing crowd. We were jumping around in sync with everyone surrounding us and by the time the song ended, I had lost Jack and I was out of breath.
As I was walking over to the sandbar to catch my breath, I was looking side to side to see if I could find Jack. That wasn’t a good idea since about ten seconds later my head collided with someone else’s.
Oh shit.
“What the hell?!” he shouted looking down at his stained shirt. I made him spill his drink all over himself.
“Oh my God, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to-“
“Watch where you’re fucking going!” well someone has a short temper.
I quickly made my way to the sandbar a couple feet away to get a drink for myself after that awkward and embarrassing moment. I hope not everyone here is as rude as the guy I unluckily just bumped into.
“Can I get a neon Jamaican sunset, please” this was by far the best drink here.
As I grabbed the filled cup and turned around to watch the crowd, I felt my elbow hit something again. I really hope this isn’t the same guy as before.
I looked up and I was about to apologize but something else happened instead.
I got lost in this stranger’s eyes. They were big and brown, kinda like Jack’s.He let out a little giggle and made me snap out of my thoughts.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you. Crap that’s the second time tonight.” I apologized again.
“Don’t worry about it” he sweetly replied with the cutest smile ever, “uhh, I’m Cameron”

Hey guys! Wow it’s been a really long time since I’ve updated and I’m soo sorry about that. I was so busy with finals at school and I just got out on the 13th. I wanted to update sooner but I honestly barely had any time. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and if I’m not mistaken, it’s a little longer than the others. I’m going to keep trying to make the chapters much longer and I’m going to try and update faster so maybe I’ll have the next chapter up by this Thursday or Friday. Thanks for reading again ily all so much.
