"Father"
The old man stopped polishing his windcleaver and looked at his daughter. She looked at him with her sky blue eyes, seeming curious but hesitant. Her blond hair barely brushing her face. So young. Yet so beautiful.
"Yes, Alexis?"
The girl hesitated and started playing with her hair. "You said once I'm older and stronger you would tell me what happened to mother."
The old man sighed deeply. She was right. He did make that promise.
"You know what the Yiga is trained to do right?"
Alexis nodded her head. "To kill the blue champion."
The old man kneeled before her and put his hand on her shoulder, the fireplace crackling beside them. "You're mother had a mission to capture the princess And..."
"And what?"
The man had tears flowing through his eyes his voice cracked when he said, "He killed her."
