Emily pulled on her leather jacket over her dress and grabbed her school bag. She walked down stairs and was greeted by her mother. "Happy Birthday sweetheart!" Today was Emily's 18 birthday and her mom was holding a birthday cake with lit candles on it. Emily smiled and blew out the candles making the same wish she made on everything- to see her favorite band 5 Seconds of Summer in concert.
Emily thanked her mom and sat down and began eating the gourmet breakfast her mom made. It consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. As Emily finished up her breakfast she grabbed her things and walked out her front door to wait for her friend to pick her up.
Seconds later her best friend Julian pulled up and Emily smiled when she heard 5 Seconds of Summer playing in Julian's car. She hopped in and Julian screamed happy birthday and gave her an envelope. "What's this?!" Emily asked in excitement as she began opening it. As she opened the envelope $50 fell out and she gasped. "What?!" Emily beamed with excitement. "I thought after school we could go shopping for something this upcoming Saturday." Julian grinned cause Emily looked completely dumbfounded. "What's this sat-"
"No questions. I'll help you buy a cute new outfit and shoes" Julian winked at Emily pulling into the school parking lot.
