Life's Direction (Sequel to Daughter Direction)

Chapter Seven

Thank god Danielle and Eleanor stopped by every day while the boys were busy, or else I would have gone crazy. The hospital upgraded my room, I was by myself in the room. There was a tiny sofa and a couple of chairs around it as well. It was more like my own personal room. The the kids played with each other on the couch and chairs, I brought up the Caroline Flack thing to them.

“So just tell him that you want him to talk to her, as long as he doesn’t do anything stupid. Good gracious.” Eleanor said, looking over to make sure Nicole wasn’t doing anything bad. She was just sitting in one of the chairs while Brielle and Dimitri ran around a bit. 

“Got to love four year olds.” Danielle mumbled. I laughed a little bit. “Their teacher says they never stop and that they’e friends with all of the kids in the class.” she added. 

“If we even walk by a daycare, Nicole grabs onto Louis for dear life.” Eleanor said. “Its gonna be great when we drop her off for the first time next week.” They were all talking about children, so I tried to add something in of my own.

“My child does - oh wait, she’s not born yet.” I said, earning a laugh from the both of them.

“How much longer do you have?” Eleanor asked me. “No Nicole, come here!” she said. I giggled as Nicole obeyed and ran straight over to Eleanor, who picked her up and placed her next to me. 

“Two months. The doctors thinking of taking me off soon, but that would mean that she would be premie.” I said to her.

“Brielle and Dimitri were premie, look at them, they’re fine. They just get sick more than others do.” Danielle said, still watching them to make sure they didn’t do anything bad. Dimitri started to tease Brielle, and that caused her to get upset. “Stop at one. Don’t have a second. I didn’t have a choice, but be smart.” Danielle said, picking up Brielle and starting to scold Dimitri.

“Um, about that...” Eleanor said.

“What do you mean ‘about that’? Eleanor Jane Calder, are you pregnant again?” I asked her. “I thought you wanted to wait until after the wedding!” I said to her.

“I thought I wanted to wait until after the wedding too. Surprise!” she said. I rolled my eyes at her wording and we heard someone start to come in the room. I smiled. It was Anne and Allie. 

“So, we’ve got an hour before the boys are done. Lets discuss baby shower.” Allie said, sitting on the end of my bed. 

“And how are you planning to do that? Incase you haven’t noticed, i’m bed ridden and in a hospital.” I said to her as she flipped open her laptop. 

“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anne and I have that under control. Fill this out.” she said, placing her MacBook on the table. 

“Does Harry know about this?” I asked as I started to type out the form on the Babies R Us website.

“Men aren’t supposed to go to these anyways -” Allie started.
