Megan Moores smiled at the sunlight shining through her window. She was from a small island, called Mares, off the coast of France where the sun always seemed so far away. Her smile wavered as she remembered it was the first day of school. The cheerleader was going to Gotham Academy; at her old school she was always bullied for being from Mares, but she knew it would be different this year.

Megan opened her closet, grabbing her uniform off a hanger. She put it on, tugging the skirt down a bit, but it didn't faze her. At her old school the cheerleading skirts were way shorter. She quickly tied the tie, making her way to her kitchen. The redhead sat down at the table, eating toast, when her uncle came out.

"Hello, Megan, are you excited for school today?" The bald man asked.

"Very!" She replied, finishing off her toast, "Hello, Megan! I'm going to be late. Love you!" She said hurridly, kissing her uncle on the forehead and running out the door.

She was in such a rush that she didn't look where she was going and ran a blonde girl walking in the same direction as her.

"Ahh!" The blonde girl yelled.

Kaldur'ahm awoke, tears streaming down his face. He had just had a nightmare about Tula, the love of his life, and how she died. He dried his eyes, Tula had been dating his best friend when she died. It still haunted him, even though it had been about two years ago. Kaldur always seemed like he had a steady head and was always in control, but in reality, he was a mess, all because of Tula.

Kaldur meandered upstairs to his kitchen, school uniform on and tears gone. He grabbed some bacon and eggs, chewing on them as he grabbed his backpack and turned to leave the house into the chill morning air of Gotham City.

"Goodbye." He said to his mother, Sha'lain'a, as she came down the stairs to her and his step-father's, Cal Durham's, room.

"Goodbye Kaldur, have an amazing day at school!" She told him, making her way to the kitchen.

Kaldur nodded, walking out of the front door, into the cold morning weather, and staring to walk to school.

Connor Kent sat up. He had just had a strange dream, but he was slowly forgetting it. He shrugged, getting out of his bed. He stretched, and heard his father, Lex Luthor, leave the house, shutting the door quite loudly. He had never met his other father before, but knew his name, Clarke Kent. Clarke left when Connor was just a baby, moving to Metropolis, while his father moved to Gotham City with him.

Connor yawned, taking his Gotham Academy outfit out of his dresser and putting it on. It fit snugly, but he didn't mind. The black-haired boy trudged downstairs to his kitchen, and saw blueberry waffles on a plate with a note,

'Dear son, hope you have a nice day at school. Love, your father.'

Connor rolled his eyes, but his heart was warmed. He ate all the waffles put out for him, and grabbed his backpack, leaving his mansion of a house for school.
