"Hello father." Artemis growled, stepping in front of Dick.

"Lawrence Crock, nice to meet you." Dick said through gritted teeth.

The ebony gave all of his friends a 'get ready' look and Kaldur nodded solumnly. The teen threw something to the floor as smoke erupted out of it. He quickly grabbed the hands of the two people nearest to him and ran. A shot rang out and the the prayed it wasn't one of their friends, but continued running. Once the three were in Dick's room, he finally turned to see who was with him, and there stood Wally and Artemis, the latter out of breath.

"Come on!" He told them, opening a vent cover.

The acrobat crawled inside as the other two followed him. Wally quietly put the cover back on, following Artemis. Dick led them to a very tiny room, big enough for a ten year-old to lay flat and not be squished. The room was a pale blue with a big poster of The Flying Graysons on one of the walls. Scattered on the other walls were pictures of Dick with Wally, Barbara, and Alfred. A tiny window, big enough to see out of, was near the bottom of the wall, a pillow on the floor just under it.

"Where... What happened..." Artemis spoke quietly, sitting down on the floor as another shot rang through the manor.

"Smoke pellet, made it myself. You never know when you're going to get attacked in Gotham." Dick answered, looking intently out the window. "No!" He yelled out, covering his mouth.

Wally sat down beside him, pushing his best friend over to look out the window. "What?" He asked anxiously.

Dick stood up, walking towards where they entered the small room. "Alfred's car is there. He's home." He quietly, and as calm as possible, got into the vent.

"Well you're not going alone." Wally smiled sadly, getting in the vent as well.

Dick peeked out the vent cover and gasped, falling back onto Wally. Tears rimmed his eyes as he saw Alfred knocked out on the floor. The boy jumped out of the vent, running over to the person who had cared for him all these years. He couldn't lose him, he had already lost Jason, his mom, his dad, and Bruce was good as dead, it's not like he cared for him.

"Alfie! Alfie!" He yelled, starting to cry.

He quickly checked the old man's pulse, thankfully it was still there. Dick sat down, relieved and looked around the room. They were in the sitting lounge on the third floor, as Dick looked to the left he gasped, three bodies were laying there. Running over he saw it was Megan, Connor, and Kaldur. Kaldur and Megan were unconsious, their pulse was there, but barely. Connor was awake, his leg bleeding heavily from two bullets.

"Oh my..." Wally said from behind Dick.

"Watch... out..." A feeble voice came from Connor.

Dick went to turn around as pain flared from his head, and he was knocked unconsious.
