Chapter 6 -Don't you remember your princess?

When I got home I flung myself on the couch, the motel looked and smelt like shit.

"Mom , when are you finding out about a new place its been almost two months now and this shit hole is going to make me puke if I see another fungus or rat around."

" I actually have great news"

"I'm listening?"I look at her curiously.

"Well aunt Malaysia offered that she knew of a place and we are going to have breakfast with her and her daughter tomorrow morning to discuss it"

"You can go,I don't know them " I shrug.

"Of course you know them . Don't you remember your princess?" she giggles

" Mom what the fuck are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Moana and how obsessed you were with her when you were a little boy . God knows you did everything for that girl and even seeing a drop in her eyes would drive you insane. You nearly killed a poor boy who stole her candy stick you bought her." My mom nudges me to move so she can sit down.

" I clearly do not remember this happening or else I wouldn't have the urge to roll my eyes right now"

"I think you guys were too young to remember , but you too were such a cute pair. We even bathed you together. Even back then you could keep your eyes off pussy" my mom laughs historically.

"What can I say ,the pussy has always been drawn to me. Its a blessing and to them I become a curse." I joke and my mom throws me with a cushion.

"You should really try to stop taking these girls' innocence , you too will one day have children and know that if anyone had to treat a daughter of yours the way you treat these girls it would break you ."

"Come on mom ,I don't take girls' virginity ,that's just sick . I haven't even been with a virgin before. I've only ever been with girls who are almost always willing to give themselves. Its not my duty to keep there legs closed ." I shrug shamelessly.

" Oh my sweet messed up boy , I hope for your sake you actually find love " she sighs and mystery girls face immediately flashes in my head .I shake my head to get rid of the memory.

" I don't believe in love mom, its nothing but a lie spoken by the weak and naïve to get you to fall into the same miserable trap as they have." I say closing my eyes.

I'm not sure how I really feel about love. I do however know that people who have claimed to be in love have been dealt the worst in life and I'm not sure I'm willing to put my heart on the line like that. To be honest I'm not as heartless as I try to portray, I honestly do want to find love and fall for someone and build a life with the one person who will love me the way I wish I could myself. It's hard growing up not loving yourself because you couldn't protect your own mother. It was hard seeing the person she loved hurt her the way he did and I hope that life doesn't hand me a raw deal like that , because as much as I deny it I honestly want to find love.

"Oh sweety ,you don't mean that ,love is caring , kind and felt only when its genuine ."

"Like how Calem's love was 'genuine' ?" I make air quotes when I say genuine.

"That's not fair and you know it " she says with tears threatening to fall from her eyes .

As tough as my mom is , and trust me she's a tough bitch ,and by bitch I don't mean any disrespect, I love my mom and I respect her, and by calling her that I'm just trying to emphasise how much I honestly respect that woman. She's my rock and even though we disagree and cuss at one another , its honestly just how we are. We have a mutual understanding and she know how much I truly care for her. I honestly dare someone to be brave enough to disrespect her while I have a say in it. I promised her that after Calem I would never let anyone hurt her again. Not ever again.
