The next morning wasn't as awkward as I thought it would have been between the three of us. I mean I practically made out with Asher and then went and kissed Spencer, his best friend. Thankfully they didn't bring it up and were bickering with me like usual.
"Kota! God move your fat head. Its blocking the tv screen."
"Asher, dude shut the hell up. And Kota your head isn't fat."
I rolled my eyes and forced my head even higher so I could block the screen from Asher some more.
"God stupid fat head blocking my view."
Spencer punched Asher in his arm for the rude comment about my perfectly normal sized head and got a groan out of Asher.
"Dude! That hurt! You know I bruise easily."
"God, your so freakin whinny today. What's got your panties in a bunch."
Asher scoffed and crossed his arm while pouting. What a baby.
"I'm not being whiny! You shouldn't even be talking you big headed freak!"
Did I say that out loud? Oppsies.
"I'm leaving. I get so abused by you two. Your awful, awful people."
"Soooo whiny today!"
Asher grunted and stomped out of the room right when a special news report flashed up on the tv screen. I jumped up onto the couch and slid closer to Spencer then was intended but it wasn't like I was complaining. Switching my attention from the close proximity of our arms to focus on the blond on the tv screen I struggled to hear what she was saying.
"Hey turn it up."
"-with a special news report. The FBI have informed us that there is a criminal on the loose and they need all the help they can get to capture this criminal."
"Wonder who they're looking for now."
"I don't know but who ever it is the FBI wants super bad if they put them on TV." I replied back.
"She is a blond, about five foot five, and has blue eyes."
Spencer tugged my hair and made me face him.
"Blond hair, blue eyes.... how tall are you Lakota?"
"Five feet five inches.. but you don't think....?"
"She weighs 120 and is probably going under as a fake identity."
"I weigh 120! Spencer! They can't be. They just can't be talking about me on tv! It hasn't even been a week since I left! And the FBI?!"
"At this time we will give you her real name and any fake identities she might go by. Lakota Semper Sky is her birth given name but she may go by kota or even her last name, Sky. If you have seen her please call..."
By then I had been to worked up to care about the number and did not hear it. The inner turmoil inside me was so loud it was deafening and made me numb throughout my whole body. After what felt like a life time I finally came back to my senses with Spencer yelling my name trying to get my attention.
"I'm going to have to dye my hair and get plastic surgery! My face will have to look so different! No I like my face!"
"Lakota! Calm down. No one has to get plastic surgery okay?"
"No Spencer you don't understand! People are going to recognize me! And how close am I to finding the person that framed me?! I'm no freakin' where! Its hopeless."
Tears were streaming down my face by the time I was done ranting and I found my self huddled into Spencer's arms, my tears soaking his shirt. He rubbed soothing circles into my back while I sobbed and sniffled.
