"I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums. Oh what a shame that you came here with some one. So while your here in my arms, let's make the most of the night like were gonna die young."
My ringtone for my cell phone blared into my ear instantly waking me up. Why hadn't I put it on vibrate last night? I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and prepared them for the onslaught of light that was about to come from the screen of my phone. It was still dark in the room, which meant my phone woke me up at the wrong time because some jerk of a person decided to text me. I closed my eyes tight and flipped open my phone leaving the room dead silent. Slowly I peeked open my one eye and let it adjust and then forced my other eye to open. Once that adjusted also I looked at the time and saw it was one o'clock in morning and who ever was texting me better have had an amazing reason because I was about to scream because it was so early in the morning. pulling up my messages I saw I had 27 unread messages all from the same unknown number. How did I sleep through all of those texts? I looked at the time on the messages and it said every single message was sent at the exact same time, but what was even worse was what the messages said. "Found you.", was in every single message along with a picture of me that looked like it was taken just last night. I closed my eyes and slowly opened them again hoping the texts were just apart of a sick dream I was having before I woke up and mistaked it for reality but unfortunatley it wasn't. When I opened my eyes the harsh letters were still on my screen and my heart rate slowly started to increase at my realization that this was completely and utterly real and happening to me. I ripped the sheets off of my body and stumbled out of the bed, falling onto the cold wood floor. My body shook painfully from the cold that seemed to seep down stright to my bones but also from being absolutley frightened. They found me, the person who was capable of killing an innocent person and framing me for the murder. Some one who is so psychotic they are determined to find me and end my life for their own pleasure because ruining it wasn't enough.
My door slowly creaked open, inch by agonizing inch, until revealing a half asleep Asher in the door way. I let out a shaky breath I hadn't realized I was holding and closed my eyes not wanting him to see me in my broken down state.
"Lakota? Sweetheart? What's wrong?!"
I opened my tear soaked eyes and uncurled my body from the ball I was curled into, trying to look like nothing was wrong but in reality I knew he would know I was having a mental breakdown.
"Lakota."
His warm hands scooped me up from the harsh cold floor and placed me in his lap.
"Sweety. Come on what's wrong?"
I threw my arms around his neck and dug my face into his chest, soaking his shirt. He rubbed my back soothingly and I calmed down enough to pull one of my hands away from around his neck and point a shaking finger towards my still glowing phone on the bed. Asher stood up taking me with his and held me up with one arm while checking my phone with the other. His grip on me tightened and I heard my phone smash against the wall. He plopped me down on the bed and headed straight over to my closet, pulling out a suit case. Ripping open all my dressers doors he stuffed all my clothes into the suit case and then came back over to me. I looked up at him through my tears and saw the concern lying behind those beautiful hazel eyes.
"Come on sweet heart were going to get you somewhere safe."
I looked at him in confusion and found enough of my voice to ask him what he meant.
"W-what are y-you talking about A-Asher?"
"I'm not letting that creep come and get you. I'm taking you somewhere they can't find you. Or atleast somewhere I can take you and then some where they won't beable to find you."
