As a witch or witchling, you don't have to go and buy an expensive and fancy journal, you can simply buy a notebook from the dollar store or Walmart. It's less suspicious and you can easily track your experience and take notes.
I have two, one that is smaller and stays on my altar and the other is a notebook from Dollar General. I take all the notes I can possibly get because you never stop learning! I choose to have two so that one could hold the main, really important information and the other could be focused on notes.
