Welcome To Paradise
"It's my turn to be King of the forest!!", Sean protested while glaring at Y/n.
"No it's not! It's my turn to be the ruler of the forest!", Y/n snapped back at Sean.
"Liar!!! You promised that it would be my turn next time and this is next time!!". Sean leaned against the forest tree with arms folded in a pouting stance. They both were deep in the forests of the country. Alone. It would take fifteen minutes by foot to get back to Sean's house. "I quit...", he grumbled.
Y/n rolled her eyes and started to climb up the tree Sean was leaning against.
"What are you doing?", Sean asked curiously.
"Climbing", Y/n replied back.
"Why?"
"Because you said you quit and I got bored."
An idea came across Sean's mind, suddenly. "How about we have a contest! Whoever reaches to the top of the tree first, wins."
Y/n jumped down from the tree, landing beside Sean. "Wins what?"
"Whoever wins gets to be the ruler of the forest and the loser is the peasant".
Y/n smiled at Sean's idea, liking it. "You got yourself a deal!".
Sean smiled back and looked up at the tree, nervous and looked back down at Y/n. Y/n's face was full of determination and didn't look one bit scared of how high they had to climb. This gave Sean certainty that nothing will go wrong. He hopes.
Y/n looked up at Sean and nodded. "Ready?"
Sean nodded back. "Ready"
Seconds later they both bolted onto the tree, climbing up the base of it. Y/n was already ahead about two branches up from Sean but Sean sped up, grabbing onto a branch and boosting himself up one but that wasn't enough.
Birds scattered around the tree due to the afternoon interruption, interrupting their chattered tweets. One tried to attack Y/n but she shooed it off. She was only three branches away to her limit. If she went any further the weak, flimsy branches could break under her weight, causing her to fall. That would be a certain death sentence and this made her nervous so she stopped. She looked up over the distance, marveling the amazing view. "Wow, it's beautiful.
Sean caught up and stopped beside Y/n, sitting a branch on the opposite side of the tree. "It sure is..."
They both looked and sat there, gazing into the distance.
Suddenly, a crack is heard. A crack of a branch. Y/n and Sean glanced at eachother, worry starting to prickle. Y/n looked down at Sean's branch. "Sean, don't move."
It was said too late. Sean lost his balance on his branch and the branch cracked under his weight, leaving Sean to fall and grab another branch. Sadly, the one he grabbed didn't look stable enough.
"Y/n!!! Help!!". Sean cried, dangling on the thin branch, holding on for dear life.
"Sean!!", Y/n cried, starting to panic not knowing what to do. She was only nine years old soon to be ten in a week. Sean was already eleven.
