12) It's OK, baby... It's OK

Ariel's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe Jacky just said that... I deserve better then Max? No... I don't want to hear it, or think it. I love Max, and he loves me... that's all that matters... right? “Hey, Ari." Max smiled, hugging me, and snapping me out of my thoughts. “Maxie-poo." I chuckled. “It's good to hear your voice." he said. I gave him a weak smile, and he pressed his lips against my forehead. “I love you." he muttered, walking away. “I love you too." I whispered after him. I couldn't sleep that night... I didn't sleep. How could I? Alex is still alive, Jacky told me I deserve better than Max, and he kissed me, Max told me he loves me... would you be able to sleep?

“Aunt Ari, I can't sleep." Alex said. It was about one in the morning, and a very tired Alex sat down next to me. I chuckled, and wrapped him in a hug. “Are you hungry?" I asked. “Sorta." Alex looked up at me, and smiled. “Macaroni and cheese sound good? Because it sounds delicious to me!" I giggled. Alex laughed, and nodded. I got him a hot, steaming bowl of Mac&Cheese, and watched him chow it down. “Yummy?" I asked. Alex nodded. “I can't remember the last time I had Mac&cheese." Alex laughed again. I began to laugh with him, and I turned the TV on.

“Is SpongeBob on?" Alex looked up at me with puppy eyes. I glanced at him, and took a deep breath. “Don't look at the eyes. Don't look at the eyes." I muttered, over and over again. I sighed, and looked at him. “Yes." I smiled. “Yaaay!" he excitingly whispered. I smirked, and turned some Spongebob on. Poor, guy... he'll never know his past, or real mom and dad... “I love you, Aunt Ariel." Alex said, closing his eyes. “I love you too, Alex." I said, kissing his forehead, and falling asleep to SpngeBob.
