Riot's hair is now black, Ariel's is now blue. The foster family is Christian, so they think their music is “satanic", they have something against hair dye, and they hate their guts. They have an actual son, Seth, who is pretty cool. The foster parents began drinking and it's been bad lately. Started to get abused, all 3 of them. Riot, Seth, and Ariel went mute when they watched Alex, 6, get beaten to death over wanting a cookie, and couldn't do a thing about it.

Riot's P.O.V.

I've had enough. Watching poor Alex get beaten for wanting a cookie. A DAMN FUCKING COOKIE!!!! HIS SIX, HIS SUPPOSED TO WANT A DAMN COOKIE!!! HE DIED BECAUSE HE WANTED A DAMN COOKIE!! As Ariel fell asleep, I stole her phone, and looked for his contact. I knew she still has his number, but never really talked to him.... let's just hope he didn't change his number. I hid in the closest as I pushed the call button. “Hello?" as soon as I heard his voice, I bursts into tears. “Max." I whispered. The first time I've talked since Alex died. “Ariel?" he asked. “No... Riot. We need help." I explained about the foster family, Alex and Seth. As soon as I got done, all I heard was his heavy breathing. “Where are you?"

-Next Morning-

I woke up to a horn..... a bus horn. I fell out of bed and ran towards Ariel, who sat silently by the window, like every day. Her icy blue eyes looked at me and she smiled. I nodded and we began to pack. Ariel ran out of the room. She came back in with Seth and his clothes packed.

I jerked my head towards the window and smiled. Seth smiled back and began to climb out the window. I followed with Ariel. We're free. We hoped onto the bus, and was greeted by hugs. “Max told us everything! Are you OK? Should I go talk to them?" Ronnie asked, hugging me tightest. I shook my head. He pulled away, and stared into my eyes. “You're gone mute..." he whispered. I nodded. No use to talk, I thought.
