hailey was currently at a coffee shop, typing on her laptop. the keys rapidly clicking every time she had an idea. as she took a break to sip her tea,she glanced around the busy cafe. waitresses bustling about, groups of people chatting and laughing with beverages in hand, others on their laptop, typing away.
as she got another idea, she was ready to start typing again. the jingling of the bell, indicating that another customer was here didn't distract her from her task at hand.
hailey was so emerged in writing that she didn't realise someone had occupied the seat opposite her. the sound of someone clearing their throat reached her ears. hailey looked up, only to find the source came from a boy. the boy merely grinned at her. she raised her eyebrows. he leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his coffee, still staring at her. hailey continued typing.
he cleared his throat again. she looked up, annoyed. she had just gotten another idea and he was distracting her. she sighed when he simply stared at her, not saying anything. she readjusted her glasses that were close to slipping off her nose and indulged in writing the chapter that she was hoping to finish, without any distractions.
after five minutes of no distractions, she had thought the boy had finally given up. so once again, she lost herself in writing and ignored everything and everyone around her. hailey was happy that no distractions came up again.
that was, until her laptop slammed shut, almost injuring her fingers if she hadn't moved it out in time.
she glared at the boy in front of her. he grinned that stupid grin. she rolled her eyes.
"what is your problem?" she asked, annoyed that he almost cut her fingers off.
"talk to me." he simply said.
"i don't know you."
he shrugged. "so, talk to me and get to know me." she rolled her eyes. "fine, what's your name?"
"i'm ethan but you can call me anytime," he said and winked cheekily.
"you're wasting your time if you think you can swoon me."
"oh, i don't think i can swoon you. i know i can."
"gotta love a guy with confidence."
"indeed."
