I looked over at the rising sun, vibrant orange over the ocean, making our skin glow.
Jasper still had his head resting in my shoulder, eyes closed, for all I knew.
I sighed and rested my head on his collarbone. A wind came then, and as if it had come from underground, it blew my red hair heavenwards, along with a portion of my dress. I felt like Marilyn Monroe.
Jasper chuckled at it and leaned back to look at me with my hair in an upwards spiral. His was too, though it didn't get far, as it was so much shorter than mine. The breeze stopped then, and our hair and my dress fell back into place.
"Thank you," Jazz said after a few moments.
"You've already said that." The music we had been dancing to ended some hours ago, and we had just stood holding each other for the remainder of the night.
"That doesn't matter." He grinned sheepishly.
"Well, thank you, Jazz."
His brows knotted together in confusion. "For what?"
"Letting me help you."
We laid on the couch, just after we had gotten home from a hunt. I sighed and closed my eyes, my head in Jasper's lap, his fingers weaving their way through my hair.
I was still in my gown, though I had taken my heels off some hours before, when we were still dancing.
"So, what are we doing today?" Jasper asked.
I laughed. "What? You aren't satisfied yet?"
He smirked at me.
I rolled my eyes and laid on my side, facing the tv, though still in Jazzy's lap. "Um, well....we could go into the city?"
I saw Jasper grimace.
"Or not," I thought for a moment. "We could watch movies. There's a million here."
His eyes brightened. "I guess."
"Alright, what sort of movies did you used to watch?" I asked, sitting up and facing him.
"Um, I used to watch all the oldies. Some silent films. They were always fun."
I beamed and ran over to the stack of DVD's, searching for some old films. I held up Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Jasper shook his head, while I pouted.
"Fine, um..." I searched through the stack again. I held up several more films, all of them not good enough for little Jasper over here. At last, we both found one that we both liked. It surprised me that Jasper would like it.
"So, Niagara it is? Never thought you'd be a Monroe fan." I said as I put the disc into the player.
"Who isn't a Monroe fan?" He arched an eyebrow while he made a bed of pillows and blankets, going to shut the blinds on the windows, plunging us into darkness.
I grinned and grabbed the remote, taking a seat beside Jasper in the pillows. I laid on my side, and Jasper laid behind me, his arms around my waist.
The movie started, and we laughed at the funny moments, and dry-sobbed at the sad bits.
"Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N! Let me say it again..." I sung, putting the pillows back in their place. The movie had ended, and my appreciation of Marilyn Monroe had been heightened and restored.
"Peggy Lee? Really?" Jasper asked, laughing. *A/N-Alright, I used a Peggy Lee song in my other story, Caught in the Midst, but I adore Peggy Lee! She's just awesome!*
