It had been a month since we made a home here at the island, and I was loving it.

"Jazz, gimme the remote!" I yelled playfully as I jumped for it.

"Nope." he said, popping the 'p'. Jasper had been good, but he had his days where he mourned over Alice, and stayed locked up in his room.

"Please?" I whined.

"No, it's my turn, remember?" He said, flicking through channels on the tv.

I huffed in fake anger and give up, taking a seat beside him. "Whatever, but I have first hunt."

"Darlin', you can't be serious." Jasper said. He had begun calling me little names like 'darlin', and 'love', and I didn't mind in the slightest.

I laughed.

He glared at me for a few seconds, but shrugged and resumed channel surfing.

I let my mind wander, and sure enough, I thought of Jacob. I had run up and said goodbye before leaving Forks. he was upset, and angry, but he accepted it. I always thought it was just a bit of a fling between him and I. Perhaps I was right.

"You okay? Your emotions are a bit haywire." Jasper said, looking over at me.

I glanced at him, giving him a genuine grin. "I'm fine, Jazzy, just thinking."

His eyes brightened when I used his nickname. "Are you sure, love?"

"My, Whitlock, you need to calm down." I laughed.

He rolled his eyes and continued watching tv. After a while, he sighed and turned the tv off. "It wasn't worth giving you the first hunt."

I laughed. "I know, right? Anyway, it's your fault."

"But what am I going to do? I'll be malnourished!" He exclaimed, facing me.

I crossed my arms and faced him also, a neutral expression on my face. "That's not my problem."

He sighed and kind of collapsed into my lap. "It's alright Jazzy-boy, you'll live." I played with his honey blonde hair.

"Doubt it." He mumbled into my knees. He straightened and looked at me, a smirk on his face.

I ruffled his hair and stood up. "Well," I glanced outside. It was around one in the morning. "I'm gonna catch a swim. You coming?"

He glanced at the waves, then looked up and nodding.

We both whizzed up the stairs and quickly changed.

I let my hair in it's natural state of long flowing red waves and slipped on a yellow and black bikini, that had a vintage feel to it (one in pic)

I met Jazz out at the shore. He was wearing board-shorts, showing off his sculpted abs.

"Hey, ready for a swim?" I said, catching his attention. He unfolded his arms and gave me a lop-sided grin, then looked me up and down. "Going for the vintage look, are we?"

I shrugged. "You know me."

He laughed and swung me into hsi arms bridal style. "Ready for a swim, darlin'?"

"Jazzy..." I warned, but he threw me into the water, but I held onto his neck, causing him to come crashing on top of me. "Nice on, superman."

He laughed as we both sat up properly then began swimming further out.

Soon we were both floating on our backs, looking up at the stars. It was so clear here, and you could see all of the consellations. I had always loved stars. It was so beautiful. It reminded me something of my old life, the last minutes of it.

Flashback

Emmet had just spotted me, and Alice and him were carrying me to their home.

"You'll be alright." The big one said as he held me.

We neared a huge house, and I could feel the pain sub-siding, exhaustion taking over.

"No, come on, stay awake! Carlisle!" The man said, and another man with sleek blonde hair came running to me. "Give her to me." I was passed to him, and he carried me to a table, a kitchen table. About six people surrounded me, and they were all beautiful.

"Alright, this may hurt-" The man began, but another, accented voice itnerrupted him.

"Carlisle, I'll do it." A man was shoulder length, wavy honey blonde hair came into view.

The man named Carlisle looked at the other man. "Jasper, are you sure? You may not be able to-"

"Trust me. I need to do this." The other man called Jasper said.

Carlisle remained silent for a few moments. "Alright, but hurry, she hasn't got a lot of time left.

I winced slightly as Jasper took me into his arms.

There was only one thing I wanted.

"Take her outside. She wants to see the stars." A bronze haired man said, a confused expression on his face. He had read my mind.

Jasper looked at me in confusion for half a second, before he sprinted with me outside. The cold bit at my skin, and he laid me down on the saft grass.

I sighed happily as I studied the stars. These are what kept me awake.

Jasper looked down at me as a small smile spread across my lips as I gazed at the stars. I was aware of my broken bones and bleeding cuts, but I didn't care.

"I'm sorry, ma'am." The honey blonde Jasper said as he leaned in slowly and pressed his lips to my neck.

His teeth broke through my skin, and pain flooded my veins, like liquid fire.

The last thing I saw of my human life, was a blonde-haired god carved into the stars, where he belonged.

End of Flashback

I snapped out of the flashback and I was faintly aware of Jasper gazing at me. I looked over thoughtfully. "I wanted to see the stars."

A considerate looked crossed his features. "Yes, and you saw them."

"I'm looking at one right this very moment." I whispered, clutching his hand in mine.

He floated over an pressed his lips to my cheek. "As am I."
