I shifted in my place, slightly groaning as my hands and arms brushed through a rough ground. I was sure i was supposed to be on my bed..

Opening my eyes, i slowly pushed myself up with my small hands, i furrowed my eyebrows as i felt my hands get in touch with grass. The tips of it tickling and getting in between my fingers. My face showed confusion as i softly mumbled, "Wha- where am i..? I should be in my room, on my bed."

Looking around my surroundings, i found myself in some kind of dark forest. The only thing i could hear were the soft swishes of the wind and the distant noises of crickets, i figured that it was night time due to the dimness. But it was slightly lit up because of the bright moon that laid above, small and big stars surrounding it.

I sat there for a while, trying to take in the new surroundings. As a child, i was very confused as to where i was. The first instinct of mine to do was to call out for my parents. "Mommy..? Daddy? Are you there?"

No response.

Panic flowed through me as i pushed myself up to a standing position. My eyes looking around once more, hoping to see a glimpse of my parents. "Mommy! Daddy? Where are you?"

No response and no sign of them.

My breathing faltered as i put my hands together, the panic in me welling up in my chest. A breath getting stuck in my throat as tears pricked the corners of my eyes; I was scared, i was longing the warmth of my mother's embrace.

I was no where near my parents and i was terrified. I felt that i wasn't safe in the dim forest.

My mind only scared me more, it imagined the trees stretching up and glowering over me. My breathing started to quicken in pace as some of the tears from my eyes slid down my cheeks and onto the grass below.

I wanted to be around my parents again. What if they left me here? What if they no longer loved me? That cant be it, right?

More tears fell as sobs escaped my lips, i felt helpless in this situation.

My endless sobbing went on for minutes, but for me it felt like it went on for hours. I missed my parents so much, i wanted to get back home but i didn't know how.

After a few more moments, my sobbing softened as i heard distant rustling of bushes. Footsteps and the sound of twigs snapping too. The panic welled up inside me again as i thought it would be something bad and dangerous, something that would hurt me.

The rustling continued and were getting nearer.

I stayed stiff in my place, since i have no where to go and if i were to run, I would get tired in a flash.

"Hello? Is someone there..?" A voice called out, it sounded like a boy.

I knitted my eyebrows together as i saw the boy come from behind a tree, their bright ruby red eyes showing off a sense of concern. He also had slightly messy red hair, it seemed like he just came out of bed. He seemed like he was only a few years older than me,

"Oh.. a human?" He mumbled, confusion lacing his words.

He slowly approached me, "What's a human doing he-" his sentence suddenly got cut off with a small gasp, his eyes widening. "Whoah wait- i thought they were-" he paused for a short moment then continued. "Huh, i guess not then.."

I got confused at this but decided to not ask about it.

There was a slight awkward silence between me and the other kid. The only sounds heard were my soft sobs and the sounds of the forest.

After a brief moment, he decided to speak up. "What are you doing here, though?" He asked, taking a step towards me. "Uhm, Wh-what's your name?"

I hesitated to tell the boy my name, after all, i don't know him. He was taking more steps towards me, causing me to panic and worry again. "I don't know what im doing here, and.. I won't tell you my name. Not before y-you tell me yours first." I mumbled,
