Summer's POV

"Thanks you everyone, now I'd like to call up our Valedictorian, Summer Hyland." Our principal said.

I stood up from my seat, and walked up to the stage. I took my place behind the podium.

"Hello class of 2012, I'm Summer Hyland, your Valedictorian." I took a deep breath. "I've done a lot of things in my past that I regret." Michael gave me a thumbs up, as if saying 'You can do it'. "Drugs, drinking, I regret those deeply but, one day, reality smacked me in the face and said, 'Get your life back together', and that's what I did, the drugs and drinking stopped and I pulled my grades back up, and that's where I am now, your Valedictorian." I said.

"But one thing, I'd like to say Congrats Class of 2012, it's hard to believe a third of us didn't fail, including me." I saw some people laugh, but others just nodded.

"I'll never forget my story as Valedictorian. Teachers, staff, parents and especially students. We are the class of 2012." I yelled as everybody cheered. Some people dancing, jumping, screaming, and more importantly, kissing.

"Congrats" Michael said behind me.

"I graduated Michael, I did it." I whispered.

"You did it Summer. You graduated and kicked drugs butt."
