I dried my nonexistent tears
lifted my head above water
and smiled
my heart stayed heavy
but in seconds it stopped
weighted felt no more
I let my carelessness show
as I plunged the contents into your chest
and watched the blood sink in
the scarlet color making me grin
when your body crumpled
I let out a laugh
one set to boom
and like clockwork
the place was gone
locked in a chest
concealed until my very last breath.
