I have lived in Mayville for most of my life. I was born there about 18 years ago and to this day, I will love that place with my whole heart.

I made some of the best friends a girl could ask for, even though they were mostly guys.

But at the age of 16, my parents had a divorce. For some odd reason, my mother demanded that I stayed with her.

Even though I didn't want to, I had to.

I left all my happiness behind that day. My best friends, my memories.

All my friends were heart broken and I even more so.

About two years later- the present- my mother died. Now I have to move back and I couldn't be more excited.

Except for the fact that I have to face my two ex-best friends. They sort of got mad when I told them I was moving.

They thought that I didn't want to stay. They were convinced that it was my fault. I still remember it like I remember their faces.

Flashback:

"Guys, I need to tell you something." I said as I sat down at our usual spot.

"Ooh, is it a secret? Have you got a prank up your sleeve? Did you kill someone?" Alex, the funny and sarcastic one of the group, asked excitedly.

Alex had dark hair and hazel eyes. To be honest, I have a small crush on him. Mostly because of his personality.

I looked at him bewildered. But not for obvious reasons. "You know I wouldn't do that without you." I faked hurt.

Matt, the sweet and protective one of the group, laughed. Haylee, the tomboy and my only girl best friend, joined in with the laughter.

"What did you want to tell us, Bella?" Matt asked curiously. Did I mention that Matt is very curious? No? Well now you know.

Matt had slightly darker hair than Alex and chocolaty eyes. He actually looks like a model and Haylee has a crush on him.

I pulled nervously at the ends of my golden brown hair, trying to find the right words to say. Sighing, I look up.

"My parents got a divorce." I breathed out. They all looked at me confused. We all knew this was coming but that was not the bad news.

"I don't understand. We all saw it coming." Haylee said confused. I nodded my head and that only caused more confusion.

Haylee had dark red hair and bright blue eyes. She looked beautiful. She could make any guy fall to their knees with one look.

"I'm going to be living with my mother in London." I said avoiding their eyes. I don't know if it was the way I said it, or if maybe they didn't quite understand that it was against my own will, but it made both Matt and Alex mad.

I heard a chair scrape and it was Matt's. "You don't like us, do you? You don't want to be here with us." Matt said bitterly.

I opened my mouth to explain but I was cut off by Alex' chair. "You only used us, didn't you? We were no more than time occupiers." Alex added to Matt's words. It sounded like they knew what the other one was going to say.

"Of course you used us. Who would ever like someone like us?" Matt exclaimed angrily. At this moment tears were glistening in my bright green eyes as I desperately tried to deny it, but it was no use.

"You know what Arabelle? We don't care if you're moving. Hell, we'll even be happy, because you mean nothing to us." Alex growled out.

I sat there staring at them for a solid minute, while the tears came down like a river. "If that's how low you think of me. Thinking I would do this purposely, then I am starting to question our friendship. Which is no more." My voice cracked at the end.
