Alexander represented Norway at the Eurovision song contest with the song "Fairytale" & won, but not only that, he gave us such a shock when we saw him playing the violin! We later found out that he'd been teaching himself how to play for several years! Now just so you know, no one lied to anybody; we just didn't think he was that type. But he says he got inspired to teach himself the violin because he saw a couple of pictures where Morten is posing as if playing while filming the video for "The Sun Always Shines On TV". He also remembers seeing Morten and me sometimes playing guitar together when we'd sing together and he and Marie got inspired so they sometimes play violin together. But we were so proud of him, praise God for giving us our beautiful daughters, and handsome son. His wife, Marie also sings with him on backing vocals.
One time we went to one of his concerts, he mentioned our 30years of marriage, and so he sang "Can't take my eyes off you" to Marie – the song we sang in 1993 & 1994 - & sang it for us! We danced of course, and sang. It brought us back.
Morten and Alexander also made a film together about a father and son who go from Norway to Iceland to find treasure, but ultimately become closer. Even at the beginning they're close but they could be closer, and while they search for the treasure, they bond more as they go. It was wonderful as they were close in real life. The movie was made simultaneously in Norwegian and English, and I sing the theme song at the end credits in English for the English version and Swedish for the Norwegian version, as I can't speak Norwegian. I teared up when we all saw the movie, especially since we see their bond in real life. It's not unmanly at all to love someone. I performed the Swedish version of the theme song with our girls live one night, and it was so special. Clips of that movie were shown. But we love even more to watch the real bond life between them. It all was successful in the Nordic countries mostly because of the tight family we are.
