Chapter 5: I Cant Wait!

The next day was calm and peacefull in Midoriko's point of view. They had classes as usual but by lunch time thats when everything became annoying...

"Ne, Midoriko~!? Can I go over to your house today and eat your moms cooking?" Nina asked as she sat down with her childhood friend who was eating peach buns and red bean soup drink.

"You have terrible, no, horrible sense of tasting if you'd go to my house just eat my mothers cooking." Midoriko replied with a face that showed pure disgust at the thought of her mothers cooking.

"You dont cook perfect either ya know. But it does taste good. It has flavor~!" Midoriko couldnt help but snort at her friend. Nina, as usual, was already eating her mothers bento and on the side she had some breads.

"You dont have an end to your stomach Nina, but if you want to go that badly then sure you can come today." Midoriko replied with a small glint of happiness in her eyes.

"How much money did you make this morning Midoriko? You seemed to have bought more things than yesterday." Nina asked as she finished her bento and quickly opened her sweet bread.

"Since the incident with the twins i made more customers and even more when the girl i help with a boy came back and told me he accepted being her girlfriend. All in all i made a total of 10,000 yen." Midoriko replied as she opened her peach buns and began to eat them with a glint of extreme joy.

"10,000 yen? Thats quite a lot but that wasnt your best amount at middle school right. How much was it? 500,000 Yen?" Nina asked as she finished half of her bread.

"No that was half of what i really got. I got 10,000,000 yen, and i was only paying 100 yen back then." Mioriko replied with no interest in the amount of money she made as she continued to eat her peach buns.

"Hmm, wait a moment! Arent you having basketball practice today!?"

"No, coach said she wasnt going to do anything huge today and to just go home and relax until tomorrow... By the way, i need another drink so i'll be back." Midoriko said as she began to grab her money and was ready to leave the room but stopped and smiled 'kindly' at her friend. "Dont let anyone touch my bread please."

Midoriko made her way through the busy hallways just as she had finished buying her drink, this time just an apple drink. She stopped near he library as she noticed a basketball poster that had Hyuuga jumping up to score. It had some words written on the side she was about to read but was stopped by an emotionless voice.

"Hello Midoriko-san." Kuroko piped up next to her as he was looking at the paper as well.

"Hm, oh, hello Kuroko-kun. Is there something wrong?" Midoriko replied as she kept drinking her juice.

"No, i was about to enter the library to finish my work there, and then later go to class but i noticed how you suddenly stopped and looked at the poster. I was curious." Kuroko replied as he looked at the girl who was showing a small glint in her aquamarine eyes.

"This picture is amazing. It shows a lot of things and they won this game by 15 points, truely amazing." Midoriko said with a gentle smile Kuroko had never seen on the expressionless girl.

"How do you know Midoriko-san? That they won by 15 points?" Kuroko asked, now very curious about the reason the girl truely smiled like that.

"Hmm, i have never really told anyone about my speciality... Only three people know..." Midoriko replied, her smile long gone and her usual face plastered on. She turned to look at Kuroko and made a thinking face before she spoke up again.

"Maybe some other time Kuroko-kun, i have a question to ask you too but will you excuse me to throw this trash away?"

Kuroko nodded his head in approval as he saw the girl walk towards a trashcan. He turned around to see the paper better to see what could of made the green haired girl smile such way when he noticed Kagami stop and look at the poster too.
