The whole entire time class had been going on, the outside looked very sunny and beautiful, with no signs of rain. However, during basketball practice it began to rain heavily making it impossible to do any outside training much to Riko's dismay.
"Since we cant go for road work we still have time in our training. What should we do coach?" Hyuuga asked as he stood near the gym doors with Riko.
"It may be a good opportunity... Let's have a 5-5 mini game! With the freshmen against the second years." Riko announcement rang all the way through the gym even to Midoriko who was busy finishing some homework.
'A mini game? The chance of the second years to win is high especially with how they work hard... They should win... However...' The girl thought as she stood up to walk up to the coach.
"Midoriko since you're new to this you should watch the game unfold and scan them to predict their movements." Riko said as she watched the boys finish preparing the court.
"I am very familiar with the game Aida-senpai. All i need to do is scan them and tell you what i got, yes?" Midoriko asked with an empty face.
"Yup, just do what you can and dont force yourself understood!?" Riko warned the girl, which she responded with nodding her head as she combed her hair and picked it up in a high ponytail.
'Well then lets see how good the rookies are.' Riko thought as she placed her whistle in between her teeth.
Everyone stood on the court ready to play and Midoriko was ready to scan what was needed, she after all needed to warm up.
...
As soon as the ball was thrown into the air both players jumped as high as they needed to catch the ball. However Kagami seemed to be the one to catch the ball first and pass it to one of his teammates. Without any warning what so ever he made a quick run to the other side of the court, halfway he made a hand wave to his teammate and was passed the ball to. With ease he passed his opponents and made a simple but strong dunk.
"He will make a good power foward." Midoriko announced to the coach who was right besides her. "He also has strong leg power."
"He has insane firepower... You could compare it to one of a monster!!" Riko replied as she looked at the score. "Seems the freshmen are winning."
"No, Kagami is winning... Hes playing by himself..." Midoriko mumbled lowly as she kept watching the plays.
Kagami didnt seem happy though as he looked pissed off.
'Hmm, Kuroko-kun is having a bit of trouble...' Midoriko noted as she saw how little the boy moved from his spot. She kept her look on him and at Kagami as she heard how Kuroko's teammates kept on scolding him to put attention.
"Compared to the big things he said he's just a shitty player..." Kagami said as he jumped high to block the ball from one the second year who stole it from Kuroko
"A shitty player huh...?" Midoriko mummbled but it didnt go unnoticed by Riko.
"What was that?" Riko asked as she kept her look on the players on the court.
"Nothing, just thinking that Kagami and Kuroko will get along." Midoriko said as she scribbled some notes on her notebook.
"..." Riko didnt respond as she saw how the players had begun to block Kagami.
'Oh, three on one, not bad, it is his weak point...' Midoriko thought as she scribbled down even more notes on each play they made.
"If they go that far, Kagami... On top of that even when he doesnt have the ball still two guys... They dont feel like letting him touch the ball at all!" One of the freshmen said as they saw how their star player was completely useless now.
