Y/n's POV

I am walking home at night alone after I go to the store for food.

I pass by an abandoned store. For as long as I have lived in the area, I have never seen anyone go in or out of it. Nor have I seen anyone go near it in the first place.

There is a mural painted on the side of it. It is of a woman. It is one of the best pieces of artwork I have witnessed in my lifetime. I always stop by it. I stand there and view the moonlit masterpiece. I don't know who painted it, but I would like meet the person that did.

I admire the portrait of the woman who's hair covers most of her face, so it is almost impossible to know who it is.

Suddenly, I hear a man. His voice is low and he speaks harshly with a soft tone. "Haha... What's a girl like you doing here alone?" I turn to see a familiar face.

"Ah, Namjoon. I heard you wander this part of town. I haven't seen you since highschool. Honestly, I was hoping I would never run into you."

"Those words hurt coming from you... I liked you and I know I did some less than favorable things, but I was hoping you could look past that."

"Even though it was a long time ago, the things you did were not the most effective way of showing a girl you like her."

Namjoon slowly draws closer to me, and in a matter of seconds, I am wedged between the wall and his body. He wears clothes dark as night and his blonde hair is slicked back. His presence is strong and powerful.

His dark eyes look deep into mine. His hands on either side of my head, ensuring that I don't move. I feel paralized and my knees feel weak. I use the wall to keep myself standing to avoid any sign of weakness.

"I'm sorry. I know now that I shouldn't have done those things. I was dumb then, but even that can't make up for my mistakes." All of his whole-hearted words are being spoken so half-heartedly. I hardly believe that he means a word he just said.

Namjoon's POV

She acts strong, but I can tell she is cowering under me.

I have been watching her for years as she passed through the streets. She has no idea how many people I have killed because they obviously had bad intentions.

I act this way to keep you safe, my love... I have gain a reputation just for you. If you knew what I did for you, you probably wouldn't be eyeing me so coldly right now. I even drew that mural you admire so much. I bet you don't even realize that the woman is you. I know how naive you are.

I hate to see her so afraid of me. One day, she will be wrapping herself around me on her own will. I won't have to do this and see her body so vulnerable under me for a bad reason. She will love me.

Now isn't the right time, not yet.

I sigh and release her. Immediately, she pushes me to the side and takes off down the alley. I watch as she rushes out of sight.

You won't be running for much longer, I promise...
