Third Person POV

Jungkook waits at the top of the tall building. It's dark and chilly, but more was on his mind than the weather. He needed everything to go smoothly.

Looking down over the ledge, he analyzes how high up he was. He also looks around the building's roof to make sure a certain item wasn't there.

A few moments pass to which the door finally opens, revealing Hoseok in a purple hoodie. "What?" He approaches Jungkook who stands in the center of the empty space with his hands shoved in his pockets.

"A purple hoodie is really conspicuous, you know that?" Jungkook smirks.

Hobi gestures to the black hoodie Jungkook decided to wear. "It's about as conspicuous as that, but yours makes you look sketchy." He counters. Jungkook's victorious smile was wiped from his face.

"It better disguises me into the shadows. It is nighttime afterall."

"Yes. However, by wearing that black hoodie, you've made yourself both a target and a suspect in everything that may happen tonight. If someone sees you, you may be done for, so good luck with that." Hoseok smiles the victorious one that Jungkook did earlier, while Jungkook just scoffs.

"Look. We came here to discuss a bargain, not to argue about clothing choice." He tries to refocus to the subject they were really here for.

"Perhaps your right. For the record, I am right about the hoodies." Jungkook groans.

"Ok fine. Anyway, I wanted to make a little truce with you. A ceasefire. There are people more dangerous than you and I to be targetting." Jungkook explains. Hobi nods.

"I suppose your right. However, don't think that means I'm accepting the offer yet. I never jump into things without thinking it through first." He says cooly.

"Are you serious? Since when? When we first agreed to this game, Jimin pressured you to join, and you took the bait.." Jungkook argued.

"Yup. Ever since then, I've been careful about that sort of thing." Hoseok nods in confirmation.

'If it weren't for my desire to win, I would have killed him by now.' Jungkook thought, but kept those feelings inside. It was time to make a deal. He wasn't going to accept "no" for an answer.

"Hear me out. We'll wipe out Yoongi and Jimin together. That's all. As soon as it's over, it's every man for himself. We will cut ties, and one of us will be assured victory." He suggests. Hoseok looks to be thinking.

"Hmm.... tempting, but I want to change something. At the end of the time, after we've taken care of them, instead of hunting each other, let's end it with a final mini-game, shall we?" His eyes darken, but his face lights up with hope.

Jungkook tilts his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, let's make it fun. This game has been quite boring. The last time we played, it was actually quite fun, but this time around, it has been pretty unoriginal and straight forward. At least the guys last time knew how to make it interesting." Hoseok smiles.

"That game ended in nothing but ash and the death of the one person we were trying to win over." Jungkook scowls.

Hobi shrugs. "Perhaps, but who says it won't end that way again. We all know it was Jimin who set fire to the building that day. It was a miracle the six of us had gotten out alive. Did you ever notice, though, that he didn't try to help her out. If it were anyone else, we would probably had gone to save her, but Jimin didn't do that. He watched her burn along with the rest of them. He meant to do it, Jungkook. He had full intentions on killing her. He knew he wouldn't win. So if he couldn't have her, no one could." Hoseok looked down with a strange smile. He looked as though he was reminiscing on good memories of the past, but everyone knew that the events that day broke him. His tone sounds different from his normal one. It was less hopeful than Jungkook originally thought. It was dark and carefree. Scary.

"Hoseok, what's wrong with you?" Jungkook stands on guard, expecting something to happen. He went into defense mode as Hoseok started moving, but became confused as he was taking off his shoes. "What are you doing?"

Hoseok looks up with a smirk. "Ya know, Kookie, I don't know if you've realized it yet, but the end game result has already been decided." He begins to walk around Jungkook.

"Why are you talking like that? We can win this. We do stand a chance." Jungkook tries to tell him, but Hoseok only shakes his head.

"Nope. You're wrong. We were set up from the beginning. There was never a game, kook, but a deal with the devil. A pointless gamble. Don't you get it? The game was rigged from the start. We were meant to lose this whole time." Hobi's face still held that eerie smile. He walks to the edge.

"Hobi, what are you doing?" Jungkook asks again. More concerned now.

Hoseok peers down at the motionless town. No one walked the streets. No one drove down the roads either. It was silent, like the entire world had been abandoned. However, this wasn't reality. In the real world, cars passed by with the white noise of a city accompanying it in the backround. Hoseok just didn't see it that way. He was too far gone.

"I was thinking about it. After you had texted me, I thought over everything. My life, what I've done. I even solved some mysteries in my head. I haven't slept for forty nine hours. I know my head isn't in a good place, but my eyes have never been more open." He sets down his shoes at the edge of the building, and begins to chuckle deeply.

"You sound insane." Jungkook states. He was scared. What was he witnessing?

Hoseok turns to Jungkook with a smile only a lunatic would proudly display. He raises his arms to a T-pose. "With you as my witness, behold the final stage of my pathetic life."

"Don't do this, hyung! You can't just give up! You should at least fight until the very end! I don't want this. I know that the others wouldn't either!" Jungkook cries. Of course, he knew that Hoseok would die, but he never would have expected this from him. "Where's the fire you had when you accepted the deal?"

"It has been extinguished, kook. No more waiting around to die. I knew it was gonna happen eventually. Might as well get it over with." He laughs, and lowers his arms. "I'm not as strong as you, Kookie. I'm scared. I always have been. Ever since the first game, I was terrified of what would become of my future. I'm exhausted. Know that I never stopped seeing any of you as brothers." Jungkook's eyes filled with tears that quickly escaped. Not like this. He didn't want it to end like this. "Nothing could possibly have changed that. I just didn't want to look weak. I've said all I've wanted to say. The story of my life has reached it's final page. There's only one thing left to do." Hobi sighs.

"No! Stop!" Jungkook starts running to Hoseok, but he wasn't going to be able to stop him.

Hoseok starts falling backwards while closing his eyes. "The End." He says finally before completely falling off. Jungkook only watched the ledge in horror.

Soon, the ambulance came. Jungkook was gone, and Hoseok had been eliminated.
