Chapter 12

(Thomas' POV)
(Btw. I'm feeling really lazy with this story and this chapter is kind of going to suck because it's kind of rushed. I just wanted to work on it. So yeah. Enjoy this shit 💩)

Alex introduced me to his friends. They were a little sceptical about me at first but I think they started warming up to me after a while.

We hung out at the park being weirdos. Referencing Vines and such. We went to Starbucks for a little to be basic white bois. Even though Eliza and Sally were like the only really white people, the rest of us having tans and Herc not being anywhere close to white. But whatever!

In the end, we all decided to go to Hercules and Lafayette's dorm where we were now having a Disney marathon.

Peggy was sitting on Sally's lap while Sally played with Peggy's hair.

Eliza was already asleep on Maria, in which Maria was a blushing mess and the rest of us were shipping them. Which is too bad since Maria already has a boyfriend, James Reynolds. It's funny how they both have the same last name and they're dating.

Angelica was sitting by herself in a chair, watching Mulan intensely.

Hercules and Laf were snuggled up together.

I actually had no idea where John went. He was just here a minute ago but he's gone.

And Alex and I were wrapped up in a blanket on a chair since there was no more room on the couch. Alex already looked half asleep. I smiled at him as he couldn't help but shut his eyes and started to lean into my warmth.

When I looked up again, everyone was staring at me with smirks on their faces, except Eliza and Maria. Since Eliza was asleep and Maria seemed lost in thought as usual.

"What?" I asked, keeping my voice low so that I don't wake up Alex. He's a pretty light sleeper.

"Mon ami. You've been staring at him this whole time! We know you like him~ just ask him out already!" Laf teased.

"No way! Okay. Yes I like him. But there's no way that I'm going to ask him out!" I stated.

"Why?" Herc asked.

"Well... w-what if he doesn't like me that way?! What if he says no?! I already lost him once, I don't want to lose him again!" I reply.

"Pfft. Please! You've got nothing to worry about! He's been eye fucking you all day!" Peggy exclaimed.

"PEGGY!" Angelica yelled. Peggy just laughed. I felt Alex shift a bit and raise his head. I could only imagine the confused look on his face as to why he woke to a screaming Angelica.

Angelica noticed Alex staring at her with his confused expression but she just shrugged.

"What's going on?" Alex asked.

I gave everyone a pleading look that said 'please don't tell him'.

"Nothing mon ami. Peggy is just teasing Angelica about how empty her love life is, again. Right?" Laf said with a smirk looking around at everyone. Everyone nodded in agreement.

Angelica looked furious. She started yelling about how her love life is not empty. We all just looked amused.

Once she finally stopped yelling at us, Eliza was awake and also amused and everyone was now starting to question where John went.

"Where's John?" Alex questioned first. He was now sitting up but we were both still wrapped in the blanket.

Everyone looked confused and were looking around but, of course, John wasn't anywhere to be found.

"Maybe he texted us?" Herc suggested, shrugging.

"Good idea mon amour!" Laf exclaimed, then realized that he said mon amour instead of mon ami. Luckily for him, Alex and I were the only people who knew French. Herc didn't know any.

"Mon amour? That's new. What does that one mean?" Herc asked. Clearly completely oblivious.

Lafayette was blushing intensely. "N-Nothing!" He defended.

Before Herc could ask again, Laf pulled out his phone.

"John texted us! It says..." Laf clears his throat. "Hey guys, sorry I left. My sister Mary texted me saying that something happened back at home in South Carolina. My mother is very sick at the moment. I'm going back home for a bit so I went to go pack my bags. I want to leave as soon as possible. Tomorrow. By the time you guys wake up I will have already left. I'm not sure when I'll be back. But I will.

"I hope Eleanor will be alright!" Eliza says, worry in her voice. Everyone nods in agreement.

We all jump when a phone starts ringing. Maria gets up, holding her ringing phone in her hand.

"I'll be back in a second. J-just gotta take this." She stuttered. Then walked away to a more solitude area.

After a few minutes, Maria came running in with the biggest smile on her face.

"JAMES JUST BROKE UP WITH ME!" She exclaimed. Everyone except Alex and me seemed happy for her.

"And, that's a good thing?" I asked.

"OUI! James was kind of abusive to Maria." Lafayette replied.

"HOW?! WHY?! DID HE SAY?!" Eliza asked, still yelling.

"WELL APPARENTLY THIS PERSON CALLED SILENT TRIED TO STAB HIM WITH A PIECE OF STALE BREAD AND A SPOON. AND APPARENTLY IF HE DIDNT BREAK UP WITH ME THEY WOULD COME BACK AND KILL HIM. I DONT REALLY BELIEVE HIM BUT WHATEVER, I FINALLY GOT HIM AWAY WITHOUT EVEN DOING ANYTHING!" Maria exclaimed. Still yelling.

That was the most.... interesting story I've ever heard.

What kind of weird people live in our messed up Hell hole of a world?!
