A Matter of Family

Flashback (1358) *Their speaking in Italian,also that's Athena's necklace*

Athena was in the field playing with around with her with her black cat Sage with her older brother.

"Perché sono mamma e papà lotta?"

He didn't know the reasons for their parents fights either and it hurt him that his sister had to deal with it.

"Non so perché, ma non preoccuparti."

She nodded and kept playing with the cat until their Father walked over to them.

"Smettere di giocare con quel gatto e mettersi al lavoro!"

"Leave her be Victor she's only a child. Let her play with the cat. Let her enjoy her childhood before you rip away from her like you did--

She was slapped across her face.

"Don't you question me. Athena Lascia andare!"

Their mother held her cheek as tears streamed down her face.

Athena held her cat close to her and her brother shielded her from the Father.

"Lasciare il padre solo!" He warned the man.

Victor hated not getting his way. He grabbed the boy by the collar of his shirt and raised his hand.

"NO!" Athena yelled holding her hand out towards the man.

He started gasping for air and held his chest.

"STOP let him go!" Their Mother cried.

Athena looked in horror at what she did.

She lowered her hand and shortly there after he fell to the ground taking large breaths of air.

"Monster." He hissed.

Athena began to sob and her brother held her tightly.

"Your not a monster,your just special." He said.

End of Flashback

Athena's gazed on the locket that hung around her neck. It was a sliver chain with a purple stone at the end of it.

She twirled it in her fingers before sighing at it.

"I'm surprised you still have that ugly thing."

Athena flipped her brother off before looking back at the necklace."You know damn well that I can't take off the necklace even if I wanted to."

He grinned."So if I were to go over there and take it from your neck?"

"I would die." She said flatly.

He sighed and groomed his hair."I'll be late don't wait up?"

He winked at her before turning and walking out the house.

She glanced at the door a few times before grabbing her coat and leaving too.

Blake's POV

I hadn't done much. It was around seven in the afternoon and I had only woken up around three. I was watching cartoons and had ate a whole Pepperoni pizza by myself.

Addy hadn't came out of her room and as far as I know she was fast asleep.

I felt like a bum but this is usually how I spent my weekends unless Spencer came over and joined and then we'd go through two pizzas.
