Adeline had gone through all the drawers, bookshelves, closets, etc. Of her once now abandoned home.

She felt a since of joy being home but it wasn't under the same circumstances. She wasn't here to remind her brother about a Spanish project,or ask to borrow the family car.

She had been cautious about setting foot back into this house. The memories about finding her parents bodies still haunted her. And still no word about her twin. Who if Adeline was thinking straight he was probably dead like her Mom and Dad.

"Addy?"

She was lost in her own little world that she didn't even notice that Luca had walked into the room five minutes ago and was talking to her the whole time.

"Adeline?"

She snapped her head to the side her dirty blonde ponytail slapping her in the face."Huh?"

Luca's forest green eyes sparkled, in the dimly lite room."Are you sure you want to be back here? It's getting late and we still haven't found anything."

She nodded."Um yeah. I just want to check the upstairs again." She gave him a heartfelt grin but even she could feel the strain from it.

"Okay. I'll check in the library." He said turning and walking away.

Adeline sighed deeply blowing a lock of hair out of her eyes. She turned on her heels and walked out of what was once the dinning room and walked up the flight of stairs.

The first room was of course her's.

The wood floors were still stained red but the blood wasn't there.

The walls had all been redone white to hide the messages written in blood. It was her first time walking inside the room after seeing the horror that was her parents death.

It put a lot of things into perspective for her. That she didn't have parents to keep babying her anymore. She didn't have a twin that would protect her from the harms of the real word. She would for the first time in her natural born life have to fend for herself.

"Okay." She said after releasing a deep breath."Let's see." She mumbled.

She walked around the room ignoring the main issues wrong with it. Going through her own drawers, checking loose floorboards and shelves in the half emptied closet.

But nothing came up. No a single thing but she wasn't too surprised about it. Didn't make sense for her parents to hide something irreplaceable in her room where even a size six shoe could end up in the bathroom.

She left the room closing the door to it and the events that took place too.

She walked down the hall and went to her parents room. Which was completely clean, and spotless.

Almost as fine nothing happened. Like someone was here.

She carefully entered into the room. She took a glance around it before she walked across the room towards her Mother's nightstand.

When she opened it it was empty.

Odd?

She went around the bed and tried her Father's but it was locked.

Hmm? I wonder if Luca could open this?

Probably. But why don't you just ask me.

I world around but Luca isn't in the room.

How?

Because Vampires can read minds Little Dove.

I could feel Luca smirking even though I couldn't see him anywhere.
