Lilla White was one of the most head-strong people Rebekah Mikaelson had ever met, and that was saying a lot considering the fact that the blonde woman was related to the almighty hybrid. Her ferocious attitude was one of the many attributes that had Rebekah head over heels for her if it wasn't the way she blushed whenever she was near or that she returned her I love you's with a greater amount of adoration — her first mistake.
Lilla was a human and, though the word seemed to be just an adjective to many, it took shape of a noun when Rebekah revealed to her that she was a vampire — her second mistake.
The ginger woman, quite untrusting she was, fell out of touch with her days after her confession, claiming to be moving for a 'change of scenery,' though they both knew her excuse was far from true. And Rebekah grew to resent her presence, especially considering how she hadn't even batted an eye after leaving her.
However, on one solemn night in the heart of Mystic Falls (the grill in other words), Rebekah has a drink too many and calls her old flame using the phone of the bartender who'd graciously been compelled to hand it over to her, dialing the number she knew by heart — her third mistake.

extra. i'm sorry this is pretty short but the ideas i had for this didn't really fit into the summary. i'm hoping these points help you out a bit. - i imagined the oc to meet rebekah at school at first, around the time where she tried out for the cheer team, and for them to follow the whole 'lilla doesn't know she's gay' thing but i chose against it at the last minute. - you wanted enemies to lovers and i didn't want this to be the classic 'i used to torture you and now you're in love with me' trope because it's just very abusive (even though i'm guilty of it), so this is what i came up with. - pretty much, rebekah and lilla were in love but it was one-sided. lilla moved to mystic falls after rebekah called her that night and that's where their story starts. - i don't imagine rebekah to actually loathe her, just to the point where she realizes that what they had wasn't love and that lilla was careless. - i see this going in the direction where lilla just wants rebekah to forgive her after so long of being apart but rebekah's very guarded now and doesn't really let her in at first.
