The next day, Hyunjin and Seungmin began the on-site scouting of the museum. It's almost past 3PM when they began their survey of the area since it was around that time when Hyunjin's classes end. He was still in his yellow SOPA uniform when he met with Seungmin by the entrance of the museum.
Hyunjin noticed that unlike before, Seungmin was wearing a pair of eye glasses. "I didn't know you have bad eyesight," Hyunjin remarked. Seungmin just shrugged and handed Hyunjin his intercom. "I don't. These are Jeongin's eyes."
Hyunjin took a closer look at Seungmin— quite literally— totally forgetting everything about personal space. Hyunjin noticed that there are two tiny cameras discreetly installed in the frames of the eyeglasses. "Cool~"
"Hyunjin-hyung, back off 'cos like you're all over my monitor," Jeongin said through the intercom. Jeongin was in their hide-out as they speak and the camera in the eyeglasses gave him a real-time live feed of everything. "You designed this thing?" Hyunjin was still so amused at the quality of the glasses; not to mention that he's still all up in Seungmin's face.
"Hyunjin, stop breathing on my face," Seungmin complained and with this, Hyunjin backed off.
"They play sappy romantic songs in moments like this in movies," Jeongin teased. "Should I.. ya know... set the mood?"
"Ha-ha, funny, Jeongin," Seungmin sarcastically said.
"I'm sorry~~" Jeongin cutely apologized. He listens well to Seungmin because if he doesn't, Seungmin will no longer play with him; such a cute kid. "Anyway, the cameras are working and I can hear you guys loud and clear... aaaaand~ we're 46secs delayed. Changbin-hyung is soooo gonna flip."
"Let's get this over with I have homework to do."
With that Hyunjin and Seungmin entered the museum. Everyone who would see them they wouldn't think of the two as front runners of a team of young bandits; to everyone who would see Hyunjin and Seungmin, there are just two students, fresh from school, taking in the sights in the national museum.
The two slowly made their way towards the hall where the dragon head was sitting on display; carefully taking in every detail of the layout of the building and its CCTVs. "Stop right there," Jeongin suddenly told Seungmin. "Something is not right." Both Hyunjin and Seungmin stopped on their tracks.
"What's wrong?" Seungmin asked.
In their hide-out Jeongin kept zooming into the monitor to be sure but that doesn't change the fact that the CCTV in the corridor leading to the dragon head display were focused on Sungmin and Hyunjin. "It seems like they know we're here," Jeongin said.
"Are you sure?" Seungmin asked for confirmation.
Jeongin wasn't totally sure about it either. It might just be that the CCTV was set to slowly move on its axis. It could be that; it's probable so he asked his Hyunjin-hyung to confirm it. "Hyung, walk to the dragon head display."
As Hyunjin walks, the camera didn't follow him.
"Seungmin-hyung, go to a different direction, on my count."
On three, Seungmin walked to the opposite side. The CCTV didn't follow him as well. Seeing that the coast is all clear, Jeongin told his hyungs to stand at ease. "It's just the CCTV setting." So the two stayed a few moments more, careful not to leave out any important details. When they finally went out of the museum, Hyunjin and Seungmin took the same street but Seungmin went to take the subway while Hyunjin went to wait for the bus.
When Hyunjin was in the bus stop, a black van stopped by him. It was their van. Minho and Woojin just finished the radius-scouting and now on their way back to the hide-out. "Hop in!" Minho called Hyunjin. As they drove back to the hide-out, Hyunjin videocalled Seungmin who was already sitting in the subway coach. Hyunjin and Seungmin are the best of friends and they would surely videocall each other in times when they weren't together.
"Seungmin-ah," Woojin called. Hyunjin then faced his phone towards Woojin who was driving so Seungmin could see him. "We're making a quick stop by the store, do you have anything to buy?"
As Seungmin was thinking, Hyunjin was half-yelling half-suggesting that they buy eggs since Seungmin likes egss; plus his friend makes the best omelet. "Yeah, sure. Just grab some eggs from the store," Seungmin said, taking the loud suggestion.
"Okay," Woojin agreed.
Hyunjin faced his phone on him again. "Can you make omelet rice again?". Obviously that's his favorite.
"Hyunjin, omelet is literally the only thing I can cook. You have no choice," Seungmin's voice was kinda soft because he's still in the subway and he wouldn't like everyone in the train to know that he can't cook anything else but omelet. "Dude, I'm hanging up. I'll get off the next stop."
"Okay. Just text me when you get home."
Meanwhile Minho, who was sitting on the front seat by Woojin was already texting Changbin for updates on today's radius-scouting. While on his phone he received a text from Jeongin from the hide-out. "Eomma, get me some chips, please." Jeongin calls Minho his mother since he takes care of the youngest like one. Minho replied; "You'll get sick. Chips are unhealthy." But they both know that Minho would still buy Jeongin his favorite chips; nad maybe ice-cream on the side. A whole mom™.
The videocall ended just around the same time when Woojin pulled up by the grocer. "I'll stay here in he car. You two just go grab your stuff real quick, okay?", so Minho and Hyunjin got off and made their way to the store.
Alone in the car, Woojin was keeping an eye out on anything suspicious. When he turned his head to the direction of a dark alley on the opposite street, he saw a man standing under the lamp post. "Chan?" Woojin thought. The sun was just setting and it's getting dark so he wasn't so sure. Woojin got out of the car to have a clear look but when he did, he saw the man walked away. Woojin was about to run after him but Minho and Hyunjin already returned from the shop.
Although he really wanted to follow the man, Woojin got back in the car and drove home. "Minho-yah," Woojin finally spoke after seeing Hyunjin on the back seat with his headphones on, watching some videos on his phone. "I think I just saw Chan."
