I put on my shirt and shoes and ran out graces house and ran to my house I unlocked the front door and ran up to my room I opened my closet and took all the clothes out of the way until I found what I wanted a keypad I put in the code and the small door I took out the gun I had in there I put it in my pants and covered it with my shirt I ran downstairs and went outside to my car I got in a drove off to where Darren was it took like two hours to get there its really far from where I live I pulled out in the driveway and got out the car I walked to the front door and knocked on it three buff body guards opened the door two grabbed me and the other one closed the door the bodyguards that were holding me took me into a room it was dark I  heard footsteps and then the lights came on Darren was in front of me he looked at me with an evil grin and said well carter its nice to see you again I interrupted him and said where is she he laughed and said who your little slut I said she's not a slut now where is she he said that's none of your business I said you fuckin asshole leave her alone she has nothing to do with this he said now carter I've told you many times don't disrespect me I said I don't give to fucks if I'm disrespecting you he called over a body guard and whispered something in his ear the bodyguard nodded and walked away Darren said carter I hope you realize that I'm never going to leave you alone I heard a scream and then a familiar voice saying let me go stop your hurting me it was grace I know it was my blood started boiling I yelled out where is she what are they doing to her he laughed and said trying her out want to join I elbowed the body guards that were holding me they groaned in pain and I got out there grip I grabbed Darren and pushed him to a wall and said where is she what room he didn't say anything I started choking him and he said the room that you use to sleep in I let him go and ran upstairs the closer I got to the room I could here graces screams getting louder I ran into the room a boy around my age was on top of grace he was touching her all over and kissing while she cried and scream two body guards popped out of nowhere and tried getting me I shot one of them on the leg and the other one on the arm I to and shoot him on the leg twice he groaned and looked at me I walked over to him and pushed him off grace he groaned louder grace looked at me and hugged me she cried into my shoulder I wrapped my arms around her tight I was still holding my gun i heard a gun shoot and pain on the side of my stomach I fell to the ground and Darren walked over to me and said I guess she no longer has a protector it was nice getting rid of you carter he walked away grace put me in her arms I was still laying on the floor though she took my phone out of my pocket and called an ambulance somehow she knew the address she looked at me and put her hand where Darren had shoot me and said carter please don't leave me I need you I started closing my eyes I felt like I didn't have energy like I couldn't breath and I was in so much pain I could hear graces voice she said carter keep your eyes opened please don't leave me she pressed her lips on to mine and kissed me she pulled away and said Austin Carter Mahone don't you dare close your eyes you can get through this I heard police and ambulance sirens grace said Austin your... her voice started disappearing and everything went dark after that. 

*****graces pov***** 
Carter closed his eyes he was barely breathing paramedics ran in the room and put him on a bed and started putting stuff on him they ran out with him I followed they put him inside the ambulance and let me go with them we got to the hospital and they ran inside with him I followed a nurse stopped me and said I'm sorry ma'am you can go any further we'll keep you updated on what's going on with him ok now he needs an urgent procedure so that we can remove the bullet so can you please sign this its basically just saying that you give us permission for the procedure and that you will be in charge of everything including the costs I signed it and she said ok thank you she gave it another nurse and gave me some papers to fill out and a pen a began filling them out and she walked away about five minutes later she came back and said alright mr.mahone is now in the operating room now I have to say this is a really risky procedure the bullet went in really deep and it might have give through on of his lungs I nodded and finished filling out the papers I finished and gave them to her she thanked me and said please have a seat I nodded and sat down I took out Carter's phone from my pocket and called Alex and told him what happened I told him what hospital we were in and he said I'm in my way and don't tell Robert or Zach or Michele ok I said ok and hung up  
*****an hour later***** 
I was siting in a chair and Alex sat next to me and said hey I gave him a weak smile and said  he's going to  be alright I promise I said that's what he said the night my dad got shot but my dad wasn't alright and he died Alex said but carter will be alright he's a really strong guy he can take anything I said but what if he doesn't make it tears were rolling down my cheeks Alex said he will trust me and can I ask you something I nodded and he said do you have feelings for carter I thought for a minute and I said yea I guess a kind of do but don't tell anyone promise? he said why don't you tell him I said because I don't want to get hurt again besides he wouldn't care I would just be another one of his adventures he would never like me back so promise Alex said but h- I cut him off and said promise he groaned and said promise about and hour later a nurse walked over to us and said carter is now out of the operating room surprisingly he made it he lost lots of blood but he managed to make it he's a really strong guy one person can go in and be with him in the recovery room to be with him you must be mother father wife husband caretaker girlfriend or boyfriend if not you cant see him sorry Alex said well I cant go in but she can she's his girlfriend he elbowed me and I said yea I'm his girlfriend the nurse smiled and said oh ok lets go the nurse started walking down the hall I followed her and she led me upstairs into a room carter was sleeping on a  bed he looked sort of pale the nurse smiled and said call a doctor or nurse if you need anything there's a sofa and a blanket right there. I nodded she smiled and walked out the room I got a chair and put next to the bed carter was on I put his hand in mine it was really cold I looked at him peacefully sleeping I rested my head on the edge of the bed he was on I was still holding his hand before I knew it I fell into a deep sleep 
*****carters pov***** 
I woke up my side was in pain I had and IV on my hand and nasal breathing thing in my nose grace was asleep her head was resting on my hand I moved my hand a my body a little adjusting myself on the bed and she quickly woke up she looked at me hugged me and said thank you for saving me from that guy I had forgotten about that I hugged her back and said did he hurt you are you ok she gave me a weak smile and said I'm fine but I could tell she wasn't because her eyes were plain they weren't sparkling like they always are a doctor walked in and said sorry to interrupt but I want to see how he's doing grace stood up and said ok  ill be right back in like ten minutes the doctor said alright she left and the doctor started checking me out he said your girlfriend is really pretty I can tell she likes you she was here ever since you got here she didn't leave for a single minute I said um girlfriend with a confused and he said yea here on my clip board it say Grace Williams relationship girlfriend I smirked and said oh yea he said yea well you guys make a good couple your really cute together I said yea he said alright carter um ill be back later ok I nodded and he left grave walked in I smirked and said girlfriend huh her she looked at me and said I didn't say I was your girlfriend Alex did so shut up I said  so you don’t want me she said there's not much to want with a chuckle I said really because I believe in our last make out session you moaned with the first touch I gave you she rolled her eyes and said no I didn’t and if I did I was probably drunk I smirked and said quit testing me she said I'm not afraid of you I said just wait the rolled her eyes and said your so annoying I said if I'm so annoying then why did you say you needed me she said because I need someone to annoy me I chuckled she smiled at me she had a perfect smile she walked over to me and said how did you know were to find me I said I just did and don’t tell the police what happened just say we got jumped or something she looked at me confused and say the truth I said because just don’t say what really happened please she nodded and I said thank you she just nodded she sat on the chair she was sitting on earlier and I said so my beautiful girlfriend when can I take you on a date she rolled her eyes and said I'm not your girlfriend I said oh but you are it says it in the papers the doctors have she said carter don’t make me hurt I chuckled and said why don’t you like me she sighed and said you want me to tell you the truth or be nice I said the truth she said well because you’re a player and I don’t want to get attached to you because if I do ill start liking you and I don’t want to get hurt again I said I wouldn’t hurt you but can I take you one date come on please I smiled at her she said where would this date be your bed she said it in a sarcastic annoyed tone I said I was actually thinking dinner and movies but if you want I can rearrange that she rolled her eyes and I said just one date all we do is hang out together come please she said fine but I get to pick the movie.
