I don't hate you i just dislike you

I got home and went up to my room Sarah and Lucy were coming over so that we could get ready together I prefer to go over to there houses because I don’t like it when they come over and my sister is all rude to them that’s why for Christmas I asked my dad for my own place but he said no I heard on knock on the door and I went downstairs and opened it Sarah and Lucy were standing right there they came in and we went up to my room Lucy and Sarah each had to bags I’m guessing they had their outfits there or something Sarah and Lucy asked what I was going to wear I showed them and they said nope we got you something better  Sarah opened one of the bags she had and took out a red dress it was really pretty she took out a mask and red heels the theme of the dance is a masquerade theme the mask was really pretty and it was red too they looked at me and said do you like it I said yea its really pretty they so are you going to wear it I said I guess they smiled and said great now let’s start on your make up they sat me on a chair and Lucy did my make up while Sarah curled my hair they finished and I have to admit it looked pretty good they handed me the dress and heels I went in the a bathroom and put them on I came out and Lucy pulled the zipper up for me they looked at me and said perfect Sarah and me did Lucy’s hair and makeup next she took out a hi low purple dress and black heels and went in my bathroom and put them on Sarah zipped it up for her. Lucy and I did Sarah’s hair and makeup and she put on her long pink dress and white heels we all put on some jewelry. Sarah gave me my mask and her and Lucy got there’s out of one of the bags they matched the color  of their dresses we went downstairs and went outside and got in Sarah’s car we were going to meet up with Luke at the dance Sarah turned the engine on and we drove off to the dance we got there we got out Sarah’s car and went in the school Luke was waiting for me he looked at me and said you look gorgeous like always I put on the red mask and  Lucy and Sarah put on theirs  Luke was wearing a plain black mask we all walked in and went in the room where the dance was the girl from the last dance walked up to me and said your grace right I said um yea she smiled and said ok and she walked away Luke Sarah Lucy and me walked to one of the empty tables and sat down everyone was wearing a mask most people you could tell who they were but some were kind of hard to figure out who they were all four of us were just talking when drew walked over to me and said can we talk now I stood up and said sure we walked to an empty table and he said look grace I'm really sorry I acted like a jerk I miss you I miss hanging out with you I was an idiot for everything and I can’t believe I waited until now to apologize I really want us to be friends so can you please forgive me I didn’t answer him and I just hugged him he hugged me back and I said I forgive you and I missed you too he chuckled and said I know I would miss me too I laughed and we pulled away we walked over to Sarah Lucy and Luke and sat down Sarah said so are you guys good now I sad yep we began talking about random stuff a slow song came on and someone tapped my shoulder I turned around and a tall guy with brown hair said will you do me the honor of dancing with me I couldn’t see his face because he had on a plain black mask on it covered most of his face I looked at Luke and he nodded saying it was ok I stood up and he put my hand on his we went to the middle and started dancing his hands were on my waist I asked who he was and he said if I told you my identity would be revealed I laughed and said what do you mean he said well nobody but me knows who I am I said well who are you he said I already told you if I tell you my identity will be revealed I sighed and said why did you ask me to dance with you he said because your beautiful I could feel myself blushing he looked at me and said you really cute when you blush I blushed even more I said tell me how you are he said nope I said so nobody in this school know who you are I said nobody except one person I said who and he said that’s for me to know and you to wonder I sighed and said you’re a complete stranger at least give me a hint the song ended and he kissed my cheek and said it was a pleasure dancing with you my angel with that he walked away my angel? He called me his angel just like in the note today in the morning that’s him he's the one who’s been leaving all those notes in my locker he's really sweet his eyes are really pretty they remind me of someone but I can’t figure out who I was walking back to Sarah Lucy Luke and drew and someone pulled my arm I turned around and it was Alex I looked at him and he said so how’s the dance I said good he said so did your boyfriend tell that carter took all the blame for the fight I said yea he mentioned it so he said what do you mean so don’t you realize why he did it I said no and I don’t care you’re so stupid grace he took all the blame so that Luke wouldn’t get in trouble and so that Luke  would still be able to come with you to the dance he didn’t want to ruin your first dance with Luke and you know how he told you that Luke cheats on you it’s true I saw him and Lucy together they were kissing everything that carter has told you about Luke is true. I said no its not he loves me and I love him stop defending carter you know he's lying and if he took the blame I admit it was nice but you can’t prove that he didn’t to please me. He groaned and said you’re so stubborn and he walked away I went back to the table with Lucy Sarah Luke and drew and sat down like got up and said he had to leave because his mom sent him a text saying she needed his help for something I said ok and then lay said um can you give me a ride I'm not feeling good he said sure he gave me a kiss and then left with Lucy I didn’t really care because I trusted them and I know they would never betray me like that. Drew Sarah and me started talking about what we were going to do for spring break the girl from earlier walked on the stage and announced the cutest couple it was Zach and this girl I don’t know  the girl said the dance was now officially over and everyone started leaving drew walked me and Sarah to Sarah’s car and then left Sarah and me got in the car and started driving to my house on our way there I said um Sarah can you drive me to carters house  I need to talk to him she laughed and said sure. Even though I don’t like carter I still wanted to thank him for taking the blame it was really nice of him. She drove to carters house and parked in the driveway she ok ill wait for you here I said ok I still had my mask on so I took it off and to out the car I walked to the front door and knocked on it a waited a few minutes and no answer I knocked again and the door finally opened carter stood there and looked at me confused he was shirtless and he only had basketball shorts on I was about to say something when out of nowhere Jessica came down the stairs and walked over to carter and said babe hurry up she looked at me and said ew what’s she doing here I said yea um ill come back another day I turned around and carter grabbed my arm and said no your fine lily was just leaving she said my names not lily its Jessica and I'm not leaving he said yes you are she said but we had s** you said you loved me carter he laughed and said aw you actually believed that me  she burst into tears and yelled out I hate you you’re a jerk he smirked and said but I can make you moan louder than anyone else can she was about to slap him he got her hand right before she was about to slap him and said bitch don’t fucking touch me and get out of my house tears were rolling down her cheek she ran out the house got in her car and drove off carter looked at me and said come in I walked in and he said why are you here I said well Alex told me something and I wanted to  find out if it was true he said what did Alex’s big mouth tell you I said he said that you took all the blame about the fight so that Luke wouldn’t et in trouble and that he could go to the dance with me is that true he didn’t say anything for a minute and hen he said yea I said well um thank you and um why. He said if I ruined your first dance with Luke you would hate me more than you already do. I paused for a minute and I said I don’t hate you I just dislike you he chuckled and said well I didn’t want you to dislike me even more I was about to say something but I got interrupted by my phone ringing I answered it and it was Sarah she said hate to rush you but my mom needs me like now so hurry up and come get in the car I said ok I’ll be right there I hung up and said I have to go carter grabbed my arm and said no don’t go yet were not done talking ill go drop you off ok I said um ok I sent Sarah a text and she said ok bye carter said can I ask you something I said sure and he said why do you dislike me so much I said I don’t know your just a player you play with girls feelings and you don’t realize how much you hurt them your just a big jerk. He didn’t say anything I said so um can you drive me home now he nodded he went upstairs put on some shoes and a shirt he walked back downstairs and got his car keys we walked outside to his car and got in he turned it on and drove to my house we to there in a few minutes I got out the car and so did he walked me to my front door I knocked on the door since my dumbass forgot my key nobody opened carter was still there with me I was about to knock again but someone grabbed my arm and pushed me to the ground while another guy held carter I tried getting up but the guy said don’t move or I’ll kill you he pointed a gun to me carter tried to get out the guys grip but he couldn’t  the guy looked at carter and said ok carter you have to options number one we kill her or number two you join us again carter looked at me then at him and said let her go she has nothing to do with this my front door opened and it was my dad he looked at me and at the guy who was pointing the gun at me carter got out the guys grip and punched the guy to the ground he looked at the guy who was pointing the gun at me said put the gun down the guy grabbed my arm and stood me up pressing the gun to my side that really hurt my dad looked at me and then at carter again carter said let her go the guy said if you want her then you have to join us again if not ill kill her ri- before he finished his sentence carter pushed him to the ground making him let go of me I fell and quickly stood up carter fell to the floor and the guy picked up his gun and pointed it at him I heard two loud bangs and someone screaming my name.
