Chapter 1

I was gliding through the city on my amazing new glider I had built while tinkering with some mechanical equipment at our house. It had small, yet powerful, rocket propelled engines and it gave me a hell of a time that night. It was the first time I had tested it out, and it worked well for it being my first trial run. I was lost in my thoughts and thrills when I saw something - it kind of looked like the notorious Penguin's submarine at first glance. Intrigued, I swooped down to go check it out. Another good thing about my glider - it had stealth mode just like my suit, enabling me to move about in the shadows without bringing attention to myself.

I could make out about five figures. One of them had to be Penguin, based on his short, plump figure. I've taken him down before, and I could easily do it again. I leaped down from my position and landed on the top of their sub in stealth mode. My glider folded back into a small black pouch attached to the back of my suit. I pulled out my staves and got ready to attack. Turning off my stealth, I ran up to Penguin at full speed ready for attack. But of course, forgetful old me forgot about his large reptilian body guard.

Killer croc ran out and threw a monsterous blow to my gut. I recovered quickly and whipped out my extension on my staves. I beat him twice in the back, both whips leaving fresh, warm blood dripping down his spine. A smirk grew on my lips. I was getting pretty good at this for only being nineteen. Hopefully Batman would be proud this time.

Killer croc turned around and slammed his forearm against my chest, knocking all of the air out of me. It felt like thousands of pounds had just been dropped onto my ribs. He pinned me to the sub and started to crush me as he slowly put more weight against me. I felt a rib snap and growled in pain. Batman would be pissed at me. He may be a billionaire, but for some reason, hates spending money on me. Then out of nowhere, a loud clang filled the dead air, and I saw a bat shaped object sticking out of killer croc's arm. He snarled in pain and spun around. Batman swooped in and kicked him in the chest with such force Killer Croc staggered backwards, releasing me from his deadly hold. While killer croc was down Batman grabbed my arm and grappled us out of there, returning us home to patch me up and leaving the fight for another day. But I had a feeling, in the back of my mind, all down my spine, and in my gut. That in the days to come Penguin wouldn't be the worst thing we would have to face.
