Warnings: Surprises. Going to be happy at some point I swear.

As soon as the door behind you closed, Steve broke down. His sobs could be heard from outside the home, but you couldn't hear him over the sound of your car speeding out of the driveway. He pulled the box out of his pocket, taking the ring out and playing with it a little bit before setting it down, breaking down again.

~A few weeks later~

Your job fucking sucked after that. None of the Avengers wanted to talk to you other than Nat, and even then it was short. You've been sick the past few days though, thankfully you kept being sent to run errands. You stopped in the medicine island, stopping just right by the pregnancy test. 'Wouldn't hurt to try one' you thought, putting the test in your basket before leaving with the rest of the groceries Nat asked you to get.

As you walked down the sidewalk, a sense of dread washed over you. What if you were pregnant? You would defiantly tell Steve, he deserves that much. You jumped as you reached into your pocket, your phone had buzzed.

Nat: Everyone is gone, go ahead and come up

You: Sounds good. See you soon

You shoved your phone back into your pocket and entered the building, making a bee line for the elevator. Bruce saw you and entered the elevator after you. "Nat asked me to make sure you got up fine since you have been looking a bit pale." He said, but it was kind. Unlike when you talked to Bucky. Bucky had done nothing but yell at you, sending you into a sever panic attack that landed you in Banner's care.

"Thanks." Was all you could force out, and Bruce gave you a smile. "I understand (Y/N), I don't resent you at all for your choice." Those kind words were all it took for the waterworks to start, and Bruce patted your back. "I did what will in time be better for Steve and all of my friends have left me without hearing me out, other than you. Nat even gives me looks of hatred when she thinks I'm not looking." You managed to say, and Banner hugged you.

Without another word, you two made your way over to the kitchen and started putting things away. Nat gasped softly and you whipped around, seeing her with the pregnancy test. You felt the world closing in on you as Nat stormed off, and Banner helped keep you up.

"How about you go to the lab bathroom and take the test there? Tony is on a mission and won't be back until tomorrow, how does that sound?" Banner asked softly, and all you could do was nod. Leaving him and following the familiar path to the lab, you did the test and set it on the counter top and waited for the timer on your phone to go off.

When the timer finally dinged, you checked the stick. Two lines. Pregnant.

You gripped the edge of the bath as you felt yourself going to the ground, and the sound of FRIDAY's voice filled the bathroom. "Doctor Banner is on his way to assist you, he requests that you don't move until he gets there."

It seemed like forever until Bruce rushed in, picking you up and quickly taking you into the medical section of the tower. You winced in pain when he stuck an IV into your arm, and he talked to you through the whole thing. "I'm sorry, I need to. You are severely dehydrated, have you drank any alcohol since the breakup?" You knew he needed to ask this while he tried to get the pediatric doctor in. "N-no. I haven't since the night before it all ended." You finally mumbled out, falling sleep before the doctor came in.

~Few Hours later~

"LET ME SEE HER!!" Roared out Steve as he pushed his way inside. He fell to his knees beside the bed as the nurse took her vitals, and he took her hand into his own two large, flinching at how cold she was. "What happened?" He asked in almost a whisper.

"She didn't know she was with child and just thought she was sick. She didn't drink enough water, so she got severely dehydrated." Steve's eyes filled with tears as Bruce explained what happened, and he dragged a chair to her bedside, taking her hand in his own once more.

"Tony, Nat, Bucky, can you please move (Y/N)'s things back to the house?" He asked softly, and Bucky was the only one that questioned him.

"Steve, why? You two broke up?" He wasn't being rude, he was genially confused. Steve laughed softly, whipping at his tears.

"We had a fucked up conversation a year ago. Even if we break things off, if she ends up pregnant from me we will get back together and work it out, even go to couples counseling if we have to."

As you woke up, you felt something warm around your left hand. Squeezing it lightly, you saw Steve's tear soaked face. Laughing softly, you cupped his cheek with your other hand and smiled sadly. "You look like a mess."

"You're no better, Ms. Hospital Bed," joked Steve back, and you sighed happily before frowning. "What's wrong?" Steve asked as he leaned in closer to you.

"Listen Steve, I was wrong to leave. I was only thinking about myself, I should have kept the others and you in mind." You rested your head back on the pillows now that the nurse elevated the bed to a sit up position.

"I should have been more considerate. You were my everything and I took your love and patience for granted. Oh and by the way everyone else already got your things to the house. When you get better and we get home we can finally think about how to decorate the guest room. Only now it will be for our child. Oh my God we are having a kid." The realization hit Steve and the excitement that hit his face made you burst out laughing.

Bruce walked in a little bit later and smiled at the two of you. "Glad to see everything is falling back into place. Now (Y/N) are you ready for your ultra sound?" He asked, and you snapped your head to Steve.

"Y-yeah, we are." You finally declared, gripping Steve's hand as Bruce smeared the clear jelly-like substance and moved instrument until you could see the outline of a baby starting. But it looked a little doubled.

"Interesting. Now we are gonna listen to the heart beat." Bruce flipped the switch on the ultra sound and two different heartbeats could be heard. "You're having twins!" Proclaimed Bruce and Steve got up without hurting you and jumped around the little room.

As the years past, one of the twins was a little bit weaker than the other. They both seemed to be like Steve, one a mix of Steve before and after the serum and Steve after the serum. But the bigger twin was such a sweetheart to his smaller self. They wouldn't ever be mean to each other. Steve ended up staying as an Avenger but he didn't go on very many missions. You two moved out to a farmland near Clint and his family, your kids playing together even though Clint's were a little bit older.

This was all you could ever want. The bigger twin did great with sports and academics, and the smaller one did different clubs at the high school and Speech Team, also doing great academically.

One night, you stood in your backyard watching your twin boys, one daughter who came a year later, another who came two years later, and another set of twin boys. These two were with big, healthy children though. All the kids were playing in the huge backyard pool, and you sat in the shade as the sun slowly set. Steve and Bucky came out back after finishing cleaning up the big dinner from your little village and Bruce and Nat's kids. They both couldn't have kids, so they adopted babies who needed good homes. Both were great parents.

"How did we get so lucky?" Asked Nat as Bruce rubbed her shoulders as her kids ran out, jumping into the pool with your kids.

"Because even when we gave up, we didn't let go." Stated Steve as he put a hand to your shoulder, and you put your hand on top of his. Your really did turn out great.

I'm so glad you guys are liking these images! I think I'm going to do another angst tomorrow where the reader is Sharron's and Steve's daughter, but Sharron died in childbirth. Angsty feels but also really heartfelt. What do you guys think?
