Kion's dream
Kion runs around in darkness trying to find Fuli.
"Where are you, Fuli?" Asks Kion.
"Kion, help!" She cries.
He spots Fuli standing alone and runs towards her. They were only a paw away from each other before a dark shadow with eyes of flame stomps in front of them. The ground cracks open and Kion falls into the red light. Kion regains consciousness before realising he's floating on a rock on hot burning lava. He backs away from the edge trying to stay away from the heat. Kion hears a scream and looks up to see Fuli holding onto the edge of a rock with the dark figure looming over her.
"I'm coming for you, Kion." Laughs the shadow evilly.
Kion watches in horror as the dark figure pushes Fuli off the edge.
End of Kion's dream
"NO!" Screams Kion.
"Is everything alright, Kion?" Asks Nala.
Kion looks outside the den to see its still night time then back at his mother.
"Just a bad dream. Did I wake you?" Asks Kion.
"You woke all of us up." Snaps Zuri from the other side of the den.
"Sorry everyone." Says Kion, calming down.
All of the lion fall asleep except for Kion and Kiara. She watches her brother stay awake and then eventually leave the den.
"Again with the nightmares?" Asks Kiara sitting by her brother's side.
"Yeah, and why are you still awake?"
"I'm worried about you, Kion. Have you told Fuli about the dreams yet?"
Kion shakes his head. "I don't want her worry."
"Just talk to her. Promise me you will."
"I will."
"When?"
"Maybe tomorrow."
"Better be. Anyway, I'm going back bed. You coming?"
"I think I'll stay up a little longer."
Kiara nods and enters the den while Kion leaves PrideRock.
Kion walks to the waterhole for a drink but finds Fuli sitting on a rock.
"Hey Fuli." He greets with a smile.
"Hey Kion. What are you doing up this late?" She replies.
"Nightmare. What about you?"
"Nightmare. I've been having them a lot recently."
"Yeah, me too."
"Really?"
"I've been having them since we got back from the Outlands."
"Me too. I always dream about me being helpless, or lost and when you try to save me you're confronted by a dark shadow."
"I have the exact same dreams. I think the shadow is Scar."
"Me too. Think it's some kind of sign?"
"I don't know."
They turn to look at the stars above them. They are beautiful at this time of night. Kion feels Fuli lean on his shoulder.
"This is nice. Just the two of us." She whispers.
"Yeah it is. The stars always make me forget about the fears of the night." Replies Kion, licking her cheek.
They continue to watch until Fuli yawns.
"I'm getting tired." She says.
"We better get some sleep. Goodnight." Says Kion.
"Goodnight." Fuli replies as she lays down her head.
Kion watches Fuli fall asleep until he fell asleep too. He didn't have anymore nightmares after that.
