It was late in the afternoon when Jungkook came back to the headquarters after receiving a call from Namjoon. You stayed at home all day, not minding about office, considering that it can only worsen your stress.

You also got a call from Taehyung to update you about Jimin's condition. You apologized to him for not being able to visit and promised to see them soon.

A sound of a car's engine registered in your ears and you jolt up from your bed, looking out of the window to see your parents arriving.

You then focused on your father, still not being able to find any clue that he actually is experiencing a deadly disease.

You went back on your bed to sit on its edge and gave them a moment to come in their rooms first. And you weren't wrong when you came straight to your father's office, not the master's bedroom, to see him there still working some paperworks.

"Dad." You almost mumbled when you pushed yourself in his room, earning his attention from his paperwork.

"Oh. Princess." He barely uttered, grabbing a bottle water by his side to gulp it and clear his throat. "Are you sick? Why didn't you come to the office?"

You neared him, standing right before his table with your hands clasped at your back. You were looking down, afraid that if you meet his eyes, you might break down right in front of him.

"I-- I wasn't feeling well earlier, Dad but I'm fine now." You spoke after heaving a deep breath.

"That's good to hear then."

You nodded, pursing your lips before speaking, "How about you Dad?" You finally lifted your head up to him.

"Hm?" He cluelessly mumbled.

"Are you okay?" You asked softly, crossing your fingers as you hope not to hear a lie from him.

"Of course. I'm okay, Princess." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.

You dropped your head low again, your brows knitting in disappointment as you tried very hard to control your tears amidst of your breaking heart.

"Dad--" You bit your lips when your voice broke, your father's eyes staring at you in worry. "--you'll still be able to walk with me in the aisle on my wedding day, right?" A single tear cascaded down from your left eye, your teary eyes slowly meeting his worried ones.

"Princess..." He breathed out, putting his pen down.

"Tell me you'll be there to pass my hand to Jungkook, Dad. Tell me you'll still be able to give us your blessing on our wedding, that you'll still be able to see--- our future child, Dad." You cried out and your Dad then ran his palm over his face, heaving out a deep sigh.

"Princess, h-how did you know--"

You ran around the table to hug him close, crying on his chest like baby who broke her favorite toy.

"It isn't i-important, Dad. Just tell me you're not dying, p-please."

He sighed once again, his hand carressing your hair as a tear he was holding for a long time then left his eyes.

"I... I am, Y/N. Dad's dying." He lifted his head up to calm himself but eventually failed, he ended up crying with you when you sobbed harder.

You sniffed and composed yourself up, facing him one more time. "You can't, there must be a cure, right? Let's not lose hope yet, Dad."
