Two weeks had passed. Carissa had let Bentley borrow her red BMW to drive into the city every day to start his whole dance studio search, so they mostly only spent dinner and whatever was left of the evening together. Although she was pretty busy herself. Despite promising herself a vacation, Carissa was constantly driving to meetings regarding the Olympics (which were in about four months), since she was one of the primary sponsors.

Not that she was complaining. Planning for the Olympics was stressful, but fun, and she looked forward to her dinners every night now, instead of when she used to munch on bread or pasta alone.

"You wanna go swimming?" Carissa proposed one day over their dinner of chicken wings and rice.

"Lap swimming isn't really my thing. You'd beat me at every race anyways," Bentley replied.

"You can't be that bad."

"But you're super good," he said. At her blush, he added, "I've seen you swimming some mornings."

"Of course you have, you creepy stalker." She finished off the wing she was eating. "And I wasn't referring to lap swimming, silly. I was thinking more of the pool surrounded by palm trees that is the absolute perfect representation of Southern California."

"The one with the mini-waterfall?" He asked.

"Yuppp."

"Okay," he reluctantly agreed. "But..umm..I don't know how to swim."

"You don't know how to swim, you don't know how to ski...what can you do?"

"I don't know...dance?" He suggested.

Carissa was lounging on the artificial rocks above the pool, wearing a classy black bikini with a halter neck when Bentley finally made it to the pool.

"I feel a little underdressed, should I have curled my hair, too?" Carissa yelled as he approached. She took in his gorgeous body in all its shirtless glory: He was wearing dark blue swim trunks that matched the darkest shade of his hair, but his muscular calves were exposed, as were his well-defined abdominals, lean arms, and swoonworthy chest.

"Yes, you really should have, since it's not like the wetness with ruin all your hard work or anything," Bentley returned the joke, setting his towel on one of the nearby tables and joining her on the rock.

"I was just trying my best to make this the usual pool scene in a movie," Carissa teased, flipping her straight hair over her shoulder.

"Ah, then you would have needed about two feet in hair extensions, too."

"You aren't wrong."

"So what normally happens next in these movies?"

"They don't swim, that's for sure. Mostly the guy ogles the girl in her bikini, and the girl ogles the guy's hot body." She said.

"I'm seriously lacking in the hot body department," he declared.

"You really aren't," Carissa comforted, bringing her hand to his cheek.

"I'm a little too skinny," he replied, bringing his own hand to the small of her back and pulling her closer. "You, on the other hand, are absolutely perfect."

"Maybe we're just perfect for each other," Carissa whispered, bringing her lips to his. His lips quickly moved over her chin, down her neck, over her shoulders, and down the rest of her body, sending shivers through her. She returned the affection, kissing all over his body.

"I don't think I've heard a more true statement," Bentley murmured, bringing his lips back to hers.
