The next day, Sofia's birthday finally came. She was still sleeping in bed, and the sun was rising. Clover was right at Sofia's feet, ready for her wakeup call. Without saying anything, he jumped right onto Sofia's tummy, waking her up by surprise.

"Happy birthday, Sofia," Clover smiled.

"Thanks, Clover," Sofia smiled. "You know, I have the feeling that this year is going to be great."

"Sure, it will," Clover smiled. "Well, you should go down for breakfast."

"Right," Sofia nodded. Still wearing her nightgown, she went down to the dining room to join her family for breakfast.

"Happy birthday, Sofia!" Roland and Miranda beamed.

"Are you excited about your party?" Roland asked.

Sofia nodded, smiling.

"Aw, are you worried you'll end up reliving your birthday like you did last year?" Miranda asked.

"Well, that fairy godmother better not cast that spell again," Roland said.

Sofia smiled—she liked Tizzy, but she didn't like how Tizzy doesn't think before she acts.

That afternoon, Sofia was in her bedroom when Baileywick came in with a little something for her.

"The happiest of birthdays to you, Princess Sofia," Baileywick smiled. "Behold: a gift from Collette the royal dressmaker!" He held up a beautiful dress. The top part looked a little like Amber's, but the neckline was rounder, and the dress was straight. The dress was purple with pink frills at the sleeves and the neckline. There was a dark magenta sash, and the pink underskirt was covered by a purple overskirt.

"Wow, it's beautiful," Sofia gaped.

"Indeed," Baileywick smiled. "Now put it on—your guests will arrive soon."

Once Baileywick left, Sofia slipped into her closet and came out, wearing her new dress with her hair in a ponytail. She put on the amethyst tiara that Hugo gave her for their first date.

"I've got a feeling this birthday is gonna be great," Sofia smiled.

"It sure will be," Clover smiled.

Sofia went downstairs, and she was excited about her party. She made it outside, and everyone was happy to see her. Roland, Miranda, Amber, and James were happy to see the birthday princess.

"There she is," Roland smiled.

"Don't you look adorable?" Miranda asked.

"Thanks," Sofia smiled. She was surprised that two certain faces had come. "Sara! Daisy, you made it too?"

"Yes, Sara asked me to accompany her at your party, and I thought it was about time I visited Enchancia anyway," Daisy smiled.

"Well, I'm glad you both could make it," Sofia smiled.

"Happy birthday, Sofia," Sara smiled.

"Thanks," Sofia grinned. She hugged Sara and Daisy.

Pretty soon, the party started. The games were a big hit. Sofia was playing badminton with Ruby and Jade. The shuttlecock landed by the bushes, and Sofia went to get it when Clover came out.

"Hey, how's it going, Sof?" Clover asked.

"Everything is going great," Sofia smiled. "The games are a big hit, especially that piñata Daisy brought."

Daisy had brought a piñata that looked like Queen Shuriki—the evil sorceress who invaded her home kingdom 43 years ago—and everyone loved beating it to pieces.

Sofia continued to play with Ruby and Jade when Roland showed up.

"Ready for our dance, honey?" Roland asked.

"As I'll ever be," Sofia smiled. She and Roland went to the dance floor for their father-daughter dance.

"And now the royal father-daughter dance," Baileywick announced.

Once the music started, Sofia and Roland started their waltz. Everyone thought Sofia looked beautiful. Later, it was time to open the presents.

Sofia had opened a present from Hildegard. It was a figurine of a mink. "Wow, thanks, Hildegard," she grinned.

"Glad you like it, Sofia," Hildegard smiled.

Sofia then opened a present from Amber, which was a dark amethyst tiara. "Thanks, Amber," she smiled.

"You're welcome, Sofia," Amber grinned.

Sofia had opened a lot of presents, and pretty much everyone gave her something fancy. But there was still one more present she hasn't opened.

"Gosh, thanks, everyone," Sofia smiled.

But then Miranda said, "Sofia, you still have one more gift." She handed Sofia the little box Hugo had wrapped up.

Sofia read the little card on the box, "Happy birthday, my dear Sofie, from Prince Hugo." She smiled when she saw Hugo. She removed the ribbon and wrapping paper, and when she opened the box, her face lit up. "Oh, they're beautiful!" she cried. "I love them!"

Hearing those three words made Hugo's face light up. Sofia put the earrings on and hugged her boyfriend tightly. "Thanks, Hugo," she smiled. "I'll never take them off." She kissed Hugo right on the cheek.

"I'm glad you like them Sofie," Hugo smiled.

"Like them? I love them," Sofia smiled.

"Oh, they're so cute," Miranda cooed.

"They really make you look grown up," Roland smiled.

Everyone really liked Sofia's fancy earrings.

The party was a real success, and Sofia's birthday turned out better than last year.
