Hard Times (NCT LUCAS)

{2 months earlier}

Lucas had a rough day, and he way really tired. He was not in the mood to deal with any bullshit. He took a quick shower and lay on his bed, remembering what had happened today.

He went to Ava's house to surprise her. She had been stressed out because of her work and other things, so Lucas thought it would be the perfect thing to take her mind off it. But apparently not.

"Aish Lucas! Why are you always playing around and joking? I'm really busy now can't you see that?!"

"You've been working all day, just take a break."

"I can't deal with you right now. I'm busy."
She walked away into another room and shit the door. Lucas felt frustrated. This wasn't the first time she had shut him down like this and he didn't understand why.

Just as he was going home, he saw Jaehwa's car. He hadn't left Ava's house yet, so he thought he'd go say hi to Jaehwa. He found her in the kitchen, making some food.

"Jae!" He called out, a smile on his lips.

"Oh Lucas, hi! Are you here to see Ava? She's really busy."

"Yeah I know she just bit my head off."

"Ouch. She's under a lot of pressure at the moment, just give her some time."

Lucas nodded and reached for the food Jae was making. "Oi! Those are not for you." Jae smacked his hand away.

"Oh come on. Just one bite?" He asked, but Jae stood put.

While turning around, Jae almost fell, and Lucas reached for her. He held her in his arms, his past feelings for her that never disappeared, rushing back. He  stayed like that for a moment , staring deeply into her eyes, a spot of pink forming on her cheeks.

He helped her up, and she mumbled a thanks and left the kitchen. Lucas sighed to himself. He wasn't over Jae, he never was even when he pretended he didn't have any feelings for her.

Lucas put his arm over his eyes, trying to fall asleep. But all he could think about was Jae. Jae. He wanted her. And he would get her however long it took.
