Chapter nine~~ so done

It's 8pm, Hayden said he'd be here so I'm just sitting and waiting. I'm nervous for some reason, and scared kinda.
The door knocks 5 minutes later and Hayden's standing there smiling his cute goofy smile. He brings me in for a hug but I kinda just step back. He looks puzzled "seriously Annie? What's wrong?" I pull him into the bedroom and shut the door, he sits on my bed. "Your just forgetting arent you?" I look out the window "forgetting?" He asks "about me, you've got Mackenzie now. You didn't even take time to message me yesterday, you forgot" a tear dripped onto my lips and the more I thought about it the more I cried "I love you Annie, I could never forget about you" he gets up and wraps his arms around me "you went for lunch with her, you hung out with her but you couldn't even text me?" I pulled away and sat on my bed "I didn't mean to just leave you Annie, I didn't think it'd effect you like this" he sat next to me, his hand on my thigh "but it did"
"I know that now, want me to stay the night?" He rubs a tear from my cheek. "I don't care, do what you want" I roll into bed and just look the opposite direction, I can feel him staring at me and soon I drift off into a sleep.

The next morning, 6am

I slowly open my eyes, forgetting what happened last night but reliving it as I become more awake. I look behind me to see Hayden sleeping. He looks so peaceful and sweet when he's asleep. I hear a phone vibrating on the bed, its Hayden's. Mackenzie's name pops up on his phone, texts coming through, spams.

Kenzie: Hayden? You didn't come back to the room last night? Are you okay? X
Kenzie:Hayden? Reply? I'm getting worried now
Kenzie: fgs Hayden, did you sleep at Annie's or something? We were supposed to watch a movie and you bailed without telling me? Seriously.

I frown, and begin to cry again. I drop the phone and get up making sure not to wake Hayden. That's it I can't take it anymore. I grab my phone, a hoodie and some shoes and leave the house. A walk on the beach sounded great and besides no one in the house was awake to know I was gone anyway.

The sand felt so good on my feet and I just felt like I could let everything go. I walked up to the sea front and dipped my feet in the water, it was cold but refreshing for the morning. Taking a deep breathe I just let it all out, crying was the only way in this moment.
I'd been sat on the beach for about an hour, just wondering what would happen if I did go home right now. Hayden was probably awake, either with kenzie already or looking for me, mommy and Hayley were supposed to go shopping this morning so they won't be home and daddy is jet lagged so he'll be sleeping. Great. A few people walked past me and smiled, others gave dirty looks or didn't even see me.

I looked around me and a figure was walking towards me, as the sun rised the silhouette became Hayden, walking towards me kicking sand around his ankles. He came and layed next to me. "You didn't answer the calls" he looked up at me "I turnt my phone on silent" I didn't wanna speak to him, why did he even come here. "What Time did you wake up?" "6" "why didn't you come and wake me up? I would have come with you" I looked him dead in the eye "Mackenzie seemed pretty needy for that movie you promised her last night" he sighed "seriously? You saw those messages? Honestly, at the moment I don't care what she wants. I care about making you feel better. I'm staying here with you okay?" He grabbed my hand. "I love you" I didn't reply. He was annoying me now. "Okay" I got up and began walking down the sea front again "Annie, seriously. You don't believe me?" "I know you love Mackenzie Hayden! I'm not stupid! I saw how you guys laughed and flirted, go to her. She needs you" I walk off and he just sits.
