The other one was immersed in reading the new book she bought.
A total nerd. Jennie thought.
"Go find some movie and watch. I'm busy."
She rolled her eyes. It was Lisa's weakness – books. She could not get her attention whenever she started reading.
To clear things out, they're just best friends. Well, that is for Lisa while she has been keeping her feelings for the taller girl since that fateful night at the Pool Club.
Flashback: 3 months ago
It was their Jisoo's birthday party and everyone was busy preparing themselves for a wild night. Jennie brought her things to Lisa's house and fixed herself there. She ironed her hair and put on some makeup.She had the urge to dress a little bit revealing that night, choosing a backless sleeveless dress and paired it with sandals.
Her best friend did not back down. She was dazzling in her striped romper and loafers. She did not bother to fix her hair. Lisa was always simple yet ladies and gentlemen were running after her. She is definitely a head turner.
They went to the venue together, singing along to their favorite playlist that Lisa created when they were in Thailand.
Lisa had this secret desire for Taylor Swift songs and only Jennie had the knowledge about that, so whenever they're alone in the car, T's songs were queued automatically.
"And I don't know how it gets better than this. You take my hand and drag me head first, fearless."
It was Lisa's favorite part and the next line was hers.
"And I don't know why but with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless."
They sang to their heart's content until they parked the car. It was the usual, Lisa would take her hand and drag her to wherever they were going and she would helplessly follow her.
Lisa was like that – the one in charge – yet she didn't mind at all. She was the vocal and dominant one in their friendship.
"Happy birthday Jisoo!" Both of them greeted as soon as they arrived.
The celebrant ushered them to their table where their other teammates were seated. There were also unfamiliar faces surrounding them.
Jennie was suddenly grabbed by Jisoo and was pulled to another table. Lisa frowned and got slightly irritated. Jennie never left her in any event and Jisoo taking her somewhere else was not acceptable.

Yes, she is possessive of her best friend. She hasn't entered any relationship since meeting her because the care and attention she's been receiving was enough to keep her happy. Jennie makes her genuinely happy.
"Hey, I want you to meet my friend. He really has a big crush on you, Jendeukie." Jisoo's arm was wrapped around her shoulder.
She smiled awkwardly. It has been too long since someone has told her that. She doesn't know how to react.
The guy stood up and offered his hand. He was confident in his posture and that made Jennie's brow arch.
