"Do you remember that day we were. caught cause we're planning to cut class?" Jennie's eyes were dreamy, like the memory was amusing when it actually happened.
She laughed heartily as she vividly recalled how they were scolded by their biology professor. She was one of the old ones and when it comes to those kinds, it's ensured that you'll crawl your way to a D or fail unless you're a super genius or a teacher's pet.
"Oh yes!. We almost gave her a heart attack."
She felt Jennie's fingers lightly pushing her cheek to the side.
"It's your fault," she accused playfully.
"Why me? Yes, it was my idea but..." she quickened her pace in walking to cut Jennie off her tracks. "you agree to it."
Jennie rolled her eyes, a gesture she does when she can't accept defeat in their banters. She linked their arms and started walking again.
"We were clearly failing that class anyway. Better luck next time. Your so persistent. Cause you want me to be your classmate even in one class."
"You know that I got other courses and It's hard to fix the schedule." Lisa mimicked her best friend's voice. "I Memorize it already . You always said that the whole school year. Ugh."
"Crazy. We're always in trouble you know and that one was really bad."
They reached their destination after a few minutes of trudging along the campus and made their way to the center of the field.
"The time went by that fast. Now, it will all be just memories."'
"Correction. Unforgettable memories," Jennie retorted.
They sat on the grass, facing the sun on the west. It was still shining bright even when it was a bit late already. Nights have been shorter and days were longer, which Jennie was thankful for because she gets to spend more hours with Lisa. Her mom has been insistent and demanding of her time since she graduated so she made a deal with her – daytime is for Lisa, nightime is for family.
Because Lisa's all she's got to keep herself sane these days. The thought of Lisa holds her rational side together.
"Okay, my turn," Lisa murmured in her seat and then leaned her head on Jennie's. "Do you remember when it was raining hard after training then you dragged me here?"
She giggled and every part of Lalisa was filled with a familiar warmth. She always loved Jennie's laugh.
"Yup! You were so pissed at me. Cause you don't like rain."
"Cause it makes me sick. Duh! You're not even concern to me." She said while pouting
Jennie snuggled closer to her. She never failed to make her feel at home just with the slightest physical contact. There's a certain bond they share that no one can ever break.
"But remember what I told you after you were stomping your feet back to your car?" She asked gently.
Lisa scoffed. "That's a trick question. You didn't ask me anything."
"Yeah, cause I tackled you and then we fell on the grass."
