Anna had been wandering around for what seemed like days, avoiding people and using all her energy to remain silent. It had taken a while before she'd finally found sign that suggested where she was.
She was in a town called Ottery St Catchpole, not that that helped much, but at least she knew she was in England.
Anna didn't know what her next move was going to be. She needed to find somewhere obscure to sleep and some food to eat before she could even attempt an apparition to Grimmauld Place.
And with that in mind, Anna headed off toward the centre of the village where she could only hope to find some bread or fruit to allow her body to begin healing.

1977
They had managed to keep their romance a secret from James for less than 20 hours. Anna had taken one look at her brother after a day of avoiding him before she blurted it out.
"Siriuskissedmelastnight" she rushed before clamping a hand over her mouth in shock at the secret that had just left her mouth.
James looked confused for a moment as he attempted to decipher what she had said . Anna could tell the moment it clicked for James as his face transformed into a murderous expression.
"what" he whispered in a deadly voice causing Anna to wince at the tone.
"Well, you see, its actually a funny story. After the whole thing yesterday I needed a girls day, which soon turned into a girls night. Oh that reminds me I have your map. Anyway, we ended up..... out. And ,well, I was quite drunk and at some point Sirius must have arrived because I remember him jumping on the table, I was on a table by the way, and he stole my bottle, which annoyed me a lot actually and then, well, he kissed me" she rambled, refusing to take a breath in fear James would interrupt her.
James blinked, staring at her blankly before he realised something she'd said "You were drunk?" he asked as his expression grew angry again.
Annas eyes widened "Well, yeah, but you can't get angry about that! The amount of times I've had to cover for you!"
"Thats not what I mean Anna, what I mean is he took advantage of you. It all makes sense now why you kissed, you hate him after all. I'll kill him" he threatened
"NO!" she called after him as he made to move "He didn't I swear, he didn't take advantage of me, we talked it out this morning and, well, we kissed again completely sober this time!" She pleaded in an attempt to lessen his anger.
This was evidently the wrong thing to say however, as James strode off briskly, Anna attempting to catch up with him. Anna arrived at the common room, out of breath and panting, just in time to see James pull his fist back and punch a shocked looking Sirius in the face.
Anna screamed. Marlene laughed. Remus was torn between breaking up the fight and watching in amusement. Peter just looked downright terrified as usual.
"What the hell!" Sirius shouted, holding his hand toward his bleeding nose as he looked at James in complete shock.
James scoffed as Anna ran forward, placing her hands between the two boys. "Enough." she stated firmly.
"Anna for goodness sake I thought we were going to tell him together" Sirius groaned
Anna sighed as James stupidly asked "Tell me what?"
This caused Sirius to look more confused than ever as Anna sighed, looking at James, completely done by the situation, replying blankly
"Well, asshat, if you'd have let me finish I'd have told you we talked it out and " she exclaimed as James attempted to interrupt "we're dating, and agreed to take it slowly"
James' mood changed quickly as he grinned "why didnt you say so! Thats wonderful news!" he stated, causing Anna to look at him in complete disbelief , Sirius to groan in pain due to his still broken nose, and Marlene, Alice and Remus to laugh.
1978.
It was nearing summer now, Sirius and Anna having been dating for almost 6 months at this point. Their relationship hadn't been easy sailing, the two having had their fair share of blow ups. But they loved each other, and in the end that was all that mattered, the two always finding a way back to each other.
They were all currently sat by the black lake, watching Remus and James argue with Pettigrew about a question in the exams. Anna sighed in content,causing Sirius to look at her with fondness"What's wrong love?" he asked softly, showing the caring side to him very few saw.
"I'm just happy" Anna answered simply, smiling at him. Sirius grinned at this as his eyes twinkled with mischief.
"Well, I mean you are sat with me and I hear I am pretty amazing company you know?" he smirked in response causing her to laugh and rest her head against his chest as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
In that moment Anna savoured every last detail, because she knew, somewhere deep inside of her that this last year was going to be their last chance at happiness before they were thrown into a war none of them were ready for.
